Date Ariane Remastered 2.0 is a complete remake of the popular Date Ariane with all new wide screen HD graphics, and for the first time ever to play as a male or a female!

NEW! The default game resolution is 2560 x 1440. This will be especially noticeable on a 3K or 4K monitor now that the graphics have been updated to Daz renders. The game will still work fine in 1080p.

NEW! The player character avatars have been updated. Better looking avatars.

NEW! The beginning of the game has radically changed, and new introductory text added. Many things have been rearranged, especially the first part.

NEW! All the music has been changed. Got the music from Tune Pocket. Added new music to the drive downtown and the museum tour.

NEW! Text by default has switched to standard Visual Novel format, where text appears at the bottom with a color coded name of who’s talking. But you can switch back to classic “comic” mode used in 1.0 to 1.5 versions.

NEW! I eliminated the help screen walkthroughs, I’m experimenting with emoji icons next to choices that are potentially bad. They are optional of course. Also an “Anxiety” mode loosely based on The Stanley Parable that acts as a game tutorial for the first part of the game, also optional.

NEW! I added some background music, and a new volume control to control it. It’s another Visual Novel staple you can play or mute as you wish. I chose music that is either relaxing or fun to match the spirit of the game. All background music is looped.

It's a great game! Even now, it surprises with the number of endings and content. Although there is no plot per se in the game, there is a main character, Ariane:love:, who forms the basis of the narrative. The graphics are top notch! The developers deserve sincere thanks for such a great project! The rating is a well—deserved five stars!

A classic! They just don't make games like this any more (if they ever did).The game design is brilliant in its simplicity. A game you can explore hundreds of times (each playthrough takes only a few minutes) with a huge number of different outcomes. Try to find all the achievements, and then use the built-in walkthrough to find the rest (although the walkthrough doesn't seem to cover everything).You won't have to spent hours reading through hours worth of poorly-written drivel in a never-ending VN. Or spend hours grinding up senseless stats to the point you begin the hate the NPC that you're pursuing, ultimately finding yourself asking "why the fuck did I just waste so many hours on this shit?" And this game not like so many other multi-path games where all but one or two of the paths lead to a bad ending (and not even an interesting bad ending, just "game over"), so it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack to navigate your way through to a good ending.Play this game for 5 minutes. If you enjoyed it, play it again (and again and again). If not, move on with your life and nothing's lost. It doesn't really matter what choices you make (just remember that Ariane doesn't like assholes) and you'll easily find good content (finding it again is harder, because every choice sends you in a different direction).The only disappointing aspect of the game is the sex scenes are a little underwhelming. More MC control during these scenes would be really nice.

This was the first adult game I ever played. It started me on the road to eventually developing games. For that it deserves 5 stars. Memories.... It's a good game from back in the day. There are tons of options and I think it got a makeover with more recent renders too.

If Ariane wins on the first try she will take you to the restaurant, if it takes her two tries, she will pick a steak barbecue instead. If you win on either try, you can choose go out to eat to get to the restaurant.

This is the last of the dinner walkthroughs, it is not ideal but leaves her in a swimsuit on the patio with many options to choose from.  This is updated to work with HD version.

Conclusion:

Date Ariane is a really interesting visual novel that offers tons of different situations. Since it's about a blind date, some of the scenes in the game can end up being a little 'racy,' but it's also possible (and probable) that the date with Ariane simply ends up being a nice dinner and nothing more.
