Call of Duty:Black Ops Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is an action-packed shooter beloved by players. You can choose to go it alone or team up with friends to battle against relentless waves of undead enemies. Success requires not only mastering the terrain and navigating maps with agility but also switching weapons based on enemy types to maximize damage. The game offers diverse gameplay modes, varied map designs, and abundant rewards that keep players deeply immersed. It also features extensive customization options, allowing you to purchase various weapon skins and attachments, as well as tailor your character's appearance and outfits to suit your personal style.

Modes:

Wager Matches: One of the new game modes in the multiplayer is Wager Match, where the player can bet their currency (CP, or COD Points) that they have earned and gamble it. If at the end of the match the player comes in the top three, then they are "in the money" and they make a profit; the other three players lose currency. The player in first place, gains the most money - they receive three times their initial bet (but still have to pay the buy-in, resulting in a net gain of twice the buy-in amount). Similarly, the player in second place receives 1.8x their buy-in, for a profit of 0.8x, and the player in third place receives 1.2x their buy-in, for a profit of 0.2x. In the event of a tie, the same amount of prize money is always distributed, and it is split evenly for those tied for a certain place. Whilst in the lobby, the player has the choice to "double down." If everyone in the lobby chooses to double down, the buy-in and the prizes are doubled.

One In The Chamber: In One In The Chamber, the player gets only three lives and an M1911 containing one bullet. A single shot kills an enemy. If the player kills another player enemy, they receive another bullet. This means it is possible to stockpile bullets when enemies are killed with the knife. If the player is out of ammo, they have to attempt to kill the other players using the knife. The player who gets most kills gets the 1st place. Unlike other Wager Matches, ties are impossible. This is due to the fact that every time a player loses the last of their three lives, every other player gets a 'survival bonus'. Whilst there are not enough players in the game for the potential points accumulated by this method to equal another kill, it serves to differentiate the players who have got equal numbers of kill; the player who has outlasted the most other players will have more points.

Customization: A new added feature is customization. With this, you're able to customize your character and weapons exactly the way you want to use them, using the in-game currency to buy and equip your customizations. You can buy guns, camouflages, attachments, emblem designs, perks, and have the ability to put your clan tag on your weapon. Furthermore, you can customise your sight reticle. So instead of being stuck with cross hairs or a red dot sight, you can choose from a selection of different reticle shapes and colors.

Features:

Classic Zombie Action Reimagined for Mobile: The game brings the legendary zombie-slaying mode to mobile platforms while retaining the franchise’s signature tension and atmosphere. Players explore intricately designed maps, unlock new areas, and confront diverse zombie types, each with unique attack patterns. 

Challenging Levels and Strategic Depth: With over 50 levels, the game continuously increases in difficulty, presenting a mix of classic zombies and new, more dangerous enemies. Players must make tactical choices each round, deciding whether to invest CoD points in new weapons, activate environmental traps, or open previously inaccessible areas. The six-tier weapon and item system encourages experimentation with loadouts and play styles.

Cooperative Multiplayer Thrills: One of the most engaging aspects of Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is its cooperative multiplayer mode. Up to four players can team up to face waves of undead, emphasizing communication and coordination.Strategy becomes crucial in higher rounds, requiring precise timing, movement coordination, and shared resource management. This cooperative experience adds depth and replayability to the mobile adaptation.

Atmospheric Immersion and Mature Content: Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies maintains the series’ gritty atmosphere, featuring realistic sound design, dark visuals, and intense action sequences. The game’s PEGI 18 rating ensures that mature themes and graphic violence remain faithful to the console experience. Players experience the psychological tension of being surrounded by hordes of undead, requiring focus, quick reflexes, and decision-making under pressure.

Useful Tips:

I would focus on playing a couple games of Kino to figure out the formula before jumping into Five and other maps, Kino is a relatively easy map so it’s a good place to learn good habits.

When you spawn, split the spawn room windows up with your friend and each keep an eye on two. You don’t have to prevent them getting in, but just be aware of where they are so you don’t get snuck up on..

First round, knife all the zombies on sight. Second round unload a full clip of the starting pistol into the body then one knife will kill again (you’re doing this to maximize points, each non-lethal hit is 10 and a knife kill is the most valuable way to kill with 130. To help with maximizing early round points, pick up all drops except Nuke, that’s usually not economically worth it).

At this point I’d probably say buy the M14; personally I usually go further into the map without it, but it’s a lot easier to just kill with it and not worry about needing Max Ammos or having to do multiple knives in the 2-hit system, so for beginners I’d say that. Since zombies kill you in two hits, now that they have more health you want to stay away from them as much as possible. Aim for the head!

Go through the door above the right staircase, keep pushing through and buying doors until you get to the Speed Cola room, then buy the MP40 off the wall, my favourite wall gun ever.

Then keep pushing through, you’ll get to the stage, turn power on, and buy Juggernog as your first perk. Now, your goal is to “train” which means instead of shooting every zombie as you see it, you want to run in circles to gather a group and then fire into the crowd so you kill many zombies with one bullet! Best place to do this is on the stage, and another is back in the spawn room.

When you have 5000 points, link the teleporter on the stage to the platform in spawn, then use the teleporter to get to a safe room where you can Pack-a-Punch your guns to do more damage. And that’s it! Just keep training and killing until you die

The hard parts of learning zombies are getting good at the early rounds where you have to maximize your points so you can get to Jugg faster, and learning training. Once you learn those skills, you won’t need as in-depth a guide for other maps, you’ll be able to explore and learn other ones like Five more confidently. Good luck!

If you are a fan of the Call of Duty zombie games then Black Ops Zombies is a must-own addition to your iPad library, if for no other reason than Dead-Ops Arcade. I've easily logged twice as many hours in that mode as the main FPS game, but that will likely change when new maps start to drop.

Everything about Black Ops Zombies is awesome, for the other reviewers, they obviously haven't went deep into the story of Black Ops ZOMBIES. The final conclusion (The Moon Easter Egg!) Is nothing shory of epic... The only problem I have is that it gets boring around 33.

If you do a side-by-side comparison between Black Ops Zombie and its predecessor, you’ll see a definite upgrade in visual quality and presentation. The graphics look much better, especially on the most recent iOS devices. Even the menu system looks great and offers personality that isn’t normally found in something of that low a priority in game design. Granted, it’s certainly not the best looking game we’ve seen on iOS, but it’s an improvement nonetheless. Surprisingly, I did encounter the occasional slowdown on my 4S, which seemed odd.One of the most important questions in my book in regards to first person shooters is its controls. Black Ops Zombies adds additional control functions, such as crouching and sprinting into the mix. In addition, Black Ops Zombies brings back the same three control options (joystick, swap, and tilt) from its predecessor. Each one offers some advantage over the other, but I never found any of them to fully satisfy my expectations and not make me feel like I was compensating for playing on a touch screen. Extras such as various difficulties and auto-aim try to alleviate the problem, but it doesn’t fix it all the way. Also there were some questionable design decisions, such as not having a fire button on the screen and forcing the players to double tap to fire. While this may work on paper, I can’t count the amount of times I wasn’t able to fire my gun when I wanted to.

Final Verdict:

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies remains one of the most iconic horde-survival experiences, delivering tense atmosphere, fast-paced action, and deep replayability backed by evolving maps and seasonal content. New modes and features continue to expand gameplay variety, though the learning curve and shifting design direction may not please every purist. Still, for players who love high-stakes co-op, experimentation, and infinite undead carnage, Zombies is a staple that remains thrilling.
