GRID Autosport is a racing game that offers tracks and gameplay modes of varying difficulty, while also allowing players to create their own racing events and vehicle setups. In addition to offline play, the game features a wide variety of events and tracks to challenge you; simply take the wheel of your favorite car, hit the track, and enjoy the ride. A "Simple" mode is also available to help newcomers hone their racing skills. The game provides extensive customization options, letting you freely adjust control schemes and button layouts, create your own events and tracks using various modules, and invite other players to join in the action.

Gameplay of GRID Autosport:

In Grid Autosport, the player acts as a racing driver with opportunities to start and build their own racing career via the single-player Career mode, enter competitions with fellow players on the web via the multiplayer Online mode, customise their racing experience (vehicle, circuit, race type, difficulty, etc.) to their own tastes via the single-player Custom Cup mode, and play against each other via the multiplayer Splitscreen mode. It was also considered the first video game of the GRID series not to feature Vehicle Customization this time in single player career, as only featured in online mode.

The Career mode is divided into seasons during which the player has to choose between offers from the game's racing teams each time. Most teams, including the best-in-the-business Ravenwest, are making a return from Race Driver: Grid – each have different season objectives and sponsor objectives, the achievement of which earns extra experience points (XP) for the players besides those received for their results. Online racing is conducted via RaceNet, Codemasters' community hub on which players can form racing clubs, earn XP and cash as they race and fulfill sponsor objectives, then use their earnings to purchase and upgrade vehicles. Soon after the game's release, they were also presented with sets of specific challenges, called RaceNet Challenges, announced by Codemasters.

Grid Autosport emphasises the concept of racing disciplines, making them into the new event categories. There are five main categories: Touring, Endurance, Open Wheel, Tuner, and Street. During Career mode, the player picks a particular event in one of these categories, with each event (a string of races) making up a season. Each discipline features markedly different cars and race types. The latter include standard Races, Endurance races with tire wear enabled, Time attack events, Drift events, and - as downloadable content (DLC) - Time Trials, Drag and point-to-point Sprint races. These are all accessible in Custom Cup mode as well, in which the player can also choose to participate in certain special event types, such as Checkpoint, Eliminator and Demolition derby.

Now that the game release is approaching, here are some tips for newcomers. Tips I’ve learnt after some years playing racing games, always looking to make the experience more enjoyable. Maybe it works for you, maybe don’t.It’s usually more enjoyable to...

drive in first person view, interior or hood cam. The sense of speed is completely removed in third person view. More immersion, also more difficult. If you have always played with exterior cameras, give hood cam an opportunity. Try, you’ll not regret it.

play with manual gearing. The driving experience is light years away, and you’ll be faster. At first seems very difficult, but soon you’ll learn to drive by ear. Besides going faster, manual gearing gives you much more control of the car, racing feels much more enjoyable.

learn to play with no assists. Again, it’s difficult at first, but much more enjoyable when dominated. Remove one assist, learn, move to the next when feel comfortable, repeat. Don’t get stressed about driving with no assists, just as your own pace. The most difficult assists to remove, imho, are TCS (for powerful cars) and ABS. Personal note: after years playing only with ABS, I’ve recently removed ABS in Dirt Rally and, after a couple of days getting used to, now I feel much more close to the gravel than before.

Remove the racing line. Seriously, with the racing line on, you just watch and only see the damn line. Removing it forces you to learn the track, to choosse your own line. It’s much more enjoyable to create and follow your own line. This forces you to learn some reference points for each turn. Extremely more enjoyable. The track becomes much more visible.

Play difficult, challenging. Going from 16th to 1st in three laps is not a race, it’s a quick lonely obstacles run. Set a challenging level and be at your own pace. It’s better to start 16th and fight for 8th that get stressed to be first. My rule of thumb here is: if you are new to a track/category and you win, it’s too easy. I prefer to fight for some positions, and end in the middle of the leaderboard than being always in the podium because my car is faster than the others.

Same for global leaderboards. Don’t even worry for the firsts positions. In the daily/weekly challenges, if you are around the 2000th, fight to be 1500th. Then try to get to 1000th. And so. At the end, you are competing against yourself, improving.

Also, another tip that works for me is to set races a little bit longer than 3 or 4 laps. With 6 or 8 laps and above, you can fight for positions at your own pace, not stresses because the race ends in less than 2 minutes.

The BEST racing games on mobile ever!! Keep in fact that the game was released in 2014 and has one of the best physics for its time. I've been playing Grid autosport for a while and let me tell you, getting the whole game is the best choice i have ever made. The game is a whole racing simulator in your pockets and not an arcade game compared to rr3. The amazing part is that theres no ads at all! you can play online or offline without anything popping up!

I love the competitiveness. I love the different settings. I love that you can pick your own difficulty. I just wish the graphics on the cars were a little bit better. The steering wheels actually glowed, and the speed was displayed on the Stern rail, like actual F1 cars, as well as actual touring cars and circuit cars. Other than that , it's a great game crate graphics , very competitive even in low difficulties.

Thank you, thank you so much for this port, it's absolutely freaking awesome and I love the detail, the high performance on my fairly basic phone, Feral Interactive, you are making quite an impression on me, as I have by now bought 4 of your games. Some games you may consider acquiring, the fallout series of games, starting from Fallout 3, though I suspect that would be difficult. Perhaps the original Prince of Persia series? Dead Space? (the possibilities are endless.)

Absolutely amazing. You get a demo of the game, you can choose whatever you want to buy (only the touring car league, only the endurance league, etc) and you can buy the full game! The graphics are amazing, and you can change the graphical quality to save battery or have better performance! Would recommend to a friend that likes racing games and doesn't have any of the other consoles it's available on.
