Introduction

Airport City is a city-building simulation game where you begin with a small airport. You must simultaneously develop your airport and the economy of the surrounding town, generating tax revenue to sustain airport operations and expand the town—creating a virtuous cycle of growth. As you progress, you can unlock a vast array of aircraft, and discover exciting surprises—such as rare artifacts—during your flights. As you continue to establish new flight routes, your reach will eventually extend into space, where you can team up with friends to complete space missions. Furthermore, you can create or join alliances to engage in unique, alliance-exclusive gameplay and earn extra rewards to accelerate the development of your airport.

Features of Airport City:

Town to Megapolis: Players will invest in developing a dream city. Here, they will take turns building modern buildings. The city’s population will gradually increase. Many new buildings are also built to serve their needs. The journey to becoming a megacity is not far away.

Balanced Gameplay Depth: Each area in the city is planned reasonably to create a relaxing space. Many trees and decorative objects are added to increase the level of urbanization. Players will have to balance the development of the city and its services. A new and large airport will be built to support the movement.

Alliance-Based Events: Revenue from business activities helps players gain huge capital. Players can join any alliance to gain experience. Cities in the same alliance will also support each other when there are problems. The game creates many special events to give players more motivation to develop.

Worldwide Flight Routes: Players expand flight routes by arranging more planes for the airport. Customer requests will be heard and responded to immediately. The airport will open many new routes to make it more convenient for people to travel. Players can go to any location they want.

Unique Fleet Customization: Planes are carefully managed by players. They will be repaired many times to become more complete. New accessories will be added to make the appearance of the plane new. Many new planes are added to the fleet to meet the needs of customers fully.

Tycoon Gameplay Experience: The game provides an extremely interesting experience for those who love Tycoon gameplay. Players can operate the airport and the city the way they want. The investment will quickly pay off and be added to their pockets. Each flight route can bring in huge revenue.

Useful Tips of Airport City:

Join a good alliance: Not a tiny one, but one with many active members and preferably a high level/reputation. That way you can even with minimal contributions get insane rewards (I got like 2 quantum leaps from joining a massive alliance recently). Also do the alliance missions when they come up every week as they can also help you get more rewards but don't prioritize them if you need to send your planes elsewhere.

Buy actually effective buildings: Since you're a beginner I don't think you have access to space yet but remember that because space helps you make alot of money quickly. Anyways, if you're able to be active alot then some of the best commercial and passenger buildings are those that provide within 20 minutes, and within 1 hour. So for example, the bowling alley, pharmacy (1hr) and the car dealership, coffee shop (20min). The perfume store is also good even though it's 1.5 hours. To remind yourself to claim the rewards you can set an alarm on your phone for it. As for passenger buildings, same deal. Mansions/Manors (15-20 minutes) and House with a Pool (1hr) are your best bet, and if you have alot of space the massive Multi-Story building can also be good cause it can give a lot of passengers in a pinch (given you watch the ad to skip time).

Avoid wastes of money: PLEASE do not pursue helicopters in the early game as it takes up space and does basically nothing to help you. Pretty sure the game forces you to build the terminal, gas station, and command center but other than those three you can avoid helicopters completely until much later on (I'm level 39 and still don't have anything on helicopters). Also, some missions the game shows you are pretty terrible, like building a Duty-Free so again PLEASE do not build it (10k for a 2x2 for a next to useless building). Same with the cosmic fuel station, it produces an item that is essentially useless for space missions (more later). There are plenty of other stupid buildings like the Aviation Museum, Travel Agency, and many more but for now avoid these.

Get good neighbors and focus on space: These go hand in hand for a couple reasons. What I mean by good neighbors by the way are high-level maxed out players with space buildings such as training centers and cosmic fuel stations that you can visit by tapping on them. This way, they can drop unique items for some collections that, when complete, drop "Launch Ready" crates. Opening these can give you really important items for space missions like the Powerful Explosive Bolt (PEB) and Main Stabilizer (MS) which help you fill the space missions meter faster (all launch pad missions have a bar that needs to be filled up in 24h, 1st launch pad has a 1600 point requirement) since PEB gives like 360 points and MS gives 120. Completing the first launch pad mission gives 6000 coins, so lots of money.

Don't rush for bigger planes: Take your time with the Swifts and Owls and Hawks and max out every flight you can before buying the next plane by flying to each location until you get 3 stars in each. Helps keep your airport less cluttered and helps you focus on each thing one at a time.

Player Comments of Airport City:

As a pilot in training this game really caught my interest it’s almost like a roller coaster tycoon but for a city with an airport.  Only complaints are that sometimes an aircraft gets stuck holding short to taxi and dock at one of the stands even when there isn’t a single other aircraft in sight.  This causes you to have to restart the app to fix and it happens pretty often unfortunately.  Also sometimes when you try to clear an aircraft to land a notification pops up saying something’s in the way or whatever and it’s usually accurate but sometimes there’s nothing in the so even tho there’s a red X you can hit accept and it will still land (minor issue more of an annoyance than anything) lastly when the aircraft push back for their flights they sometimes hit or completely taxi through each other.  Doesn’t effect gameplay just looks funny.  Only other complaint would be how long it takes to build funds, the slow progression may cause me to end up getting rid of the game so I’m not spending so much time on it.  Gotta find then game with a good balance of input/progression, I love everything else about this game though so hopefully some tweaks in the near future suffice!   I guess one more thing I’d like to see is an easier way to rearrange your whole city in order to better organize it instead of moving one building at a time only if you have the place to set it out of your way temporarily.  Very time consuming and you’re not making any funds while doing this.  Overall I do recommend this game tho have fun!

When playing this game you’re always constantly fighting for oil passengers or upgrades even when you do get your upgrades you still have to get the supplies to finish the upgrade meaning like helicopter blade, helmet, security sticks cameras also when you sell things you don’t get as much as you even paid for it. You get 200 bucks and you paid $12,000 for a plane then you are constant with having to upgrade City Hall to expand your city. You need the cash to actually. Ahead otherwise you’re stuck at the same level for months weeks or even a year. Unless you pay the money for the cash, I don’t see young kids even figuring out how to get past some levels without spending cash. I am a level 31 and it has taken me many years to get up to that level without spending too much money on I think there needs to be some weaning out in a little bit of shortcutting to make this game better go through smoothly It takes too long to upgrade every single thing it shouldn’t take a day to get Max oil either I find that kind of out of control you even have to spend the hundred bucks to upgrade your oil plant in the space launches extremely expensive unless you have the cash and your buildings don’t give you enough passengers or cash or coins, but cost so much to purchase graphics look good sounds definitely an interesting game but you don’t get enough coins to survive in the city off of your buildings. Everything is just extremely high to upgrade in the times for the upgrades are extremely high also Christmas holidays are over and we are into January and there’s not even another update to clear that stuff off I like the seasonal themes great idea if you could fix some of these problems that’s be great I been playing for years an years but let’s not make it five years to get to level 71  etc etc thanks.

FAQs of Airport City:

What about alliances?

Alliances are groups of flyers working towards common goals. Alliances may be working on task completion to earn bonuses that will last a week. These are great bonuses that can help you progress in the game faster. They include bonuses that increase experience earned, increase coin generation, reduce breakdown of planes or increase the duration of bonuses. Not everyone cares about bonuses. Long-time players have passed the need to generate coins or they have lots of spare parts in their warehouse. Many of these players don't care about completing tasks but they do care about alliance rankings which requires flying lots and lots of passengers. For these reasons, it's important to find an alliance and players that have the same goals you do - and in the early stages of the game, that goal is probably generating more coins.

What are adventure buildings?

Adventure buildings drop items for collections rather than producing coins or passengers. They also increase your maximum population without having to upgrade your town hall. They are highly sought after.

What is the best building for electricity?

The short answer is to buy Tesla Power Plants on sale in the bank as soon as you are able to.

What are liveries?

Liveries are special paint jobs you can apply to your planes. Some make the planes faster, some increase profits from flights, and some increase the drop rate from planes. Still others are available to just make them less boring but have no other benefit.

Is the Airport City Forum run by the owners of the game?

No. The forum and the game are not connected other than forum members play the game. There are some people from the company that come into the forum occasionally to post updates or look at recommendations.

Conclusion:

In Airport City, players can take on the role of an airline tycoon, managing not just the airport but also the surrounding city infrastructure. Interaction with other players is a key feature, allowing for alliances, joint quests, and competitions. With its blend of peaceful gameplay and the excitement of flight, Airport City provides a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for fans of simulation and tycoon games.
