Introduction
SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL is an RPG featuring mobile suits from 19 different Gundam series. Players can unlock these units via a gacha system, assign suitable pilots to them, and deploy them into various battles. The game also offers carefully crafted story-driven stages; as players progress through these missions, they will unlock iconic quotes and memorable scenes from the original works, bringing back fond memories. Furthermore, the game is continuously updated with new mobile suits, pilots, gameplay mechanics, and events—there is plenty for players to look forward to!
Gameplay of SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL:
Similar to G Gen, you can develop units. But gacha units can't be developed. So you'd go into the develop menu and try to develop some usable SSR units. The resource you'll spend is exp mats and money. So essentially you can get free units this way to be usable. What I did was level my two UR to a point where they carry story then use remaining resources to develop units to add to my roster. See the next topic as to why these F2P SSRs are super important
Main Story Stages Your first team will be limited to only deploy that series. So if you're playing Z Gundam story, team 1 has to be all Z Gundam units. Second Team will be free of whatever you want, and tend to be your stronger team. This is where DEVELOP feature comes in. In there, you can essentially spend low amount of resources to get the series' units for your team 1.Event and non-main story stages This is where I find a bit of trouble. Because there's no limit on series and all units are freely deployable, difficulty tends to be harder and you do need to build up a well rounded team. URs and SSRs with dupes fill this quite well.
You get a free multi with guaranteed UR when you start the game (Gundam, Sazabi, Exia, Phoenix). If you don't like your roll, the game has one-click button to let you reroll till you get what you want. Pretty soon into the game, you'll get a SSR or higher guarantee single roll. You can get UR at 4%. I'd consider rerolling at this point to see if you can get a 2 UR starter account. Bare in mind the chance to get UR with this ticket is 4%.

Strategies of SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL:
Sazabi and Exia are standout units due to their long-range EX moves and high survivability. They can keep a safe distance from the Red Gundam's support attacks while dealing effective damage.
High-Range Units: Utilize units with a range of 3 or higher to counter the GQuuuuuuX, which only has a range of 2. This allows you to attack from a distance and avoid direct confrontations.
Sniping and Targeting: Focus on eliminating key enemies like Reckenum as quickly as possible. This disrupts the enemy's momentum and gives your team a strategic advantage.
Defensive Measures: Incorporate healing and defensive units to maintain your team's integrity. Even powerful units can struggle if not fully upgraded, so ensuring your team's survivability is crucial.
Avoid Direct Confrontations: Use the terrain and your units' range to your advantage. Position your units in a way that minimizes exposure to the Red Gundam's support attacks.
Energy Management: Plan your EX move usage carefully. Save energy for critical moments when facing the boss to ensure you have enough power for decisive attacks.
Counterattacks: Use the Zaku Grunts to trigger chance steps and get in range of GQuuuuuuX on Turn 1. Then, eliminate them with counterattacks when they attack you on their turn, preserving your units' health.

Player Comments of SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL:
Every once in a while, I’ll see an announcement for a game, and the first thing I’ll think is “how didn’t that already exist?” Gundam, over the last forty-five years, has seen a massive number of crossovers, and this particular SD Gundam subfranchise has even seen a North American release (2019’s Cross Rays) that collected all of Gundam‘s history thus far. But, where 2021’s Mobile Suit Gundam: U.C. Engage only sought to retell the story of the primary Gundam timeline, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal (a name with far too many pronounced letters) is taking a live-service approach to its retelling of the whole franchise that makes it a significantly better experience overall in terms of representing Gundam, and putting it all in your pocket.
To catch you up, the SD Gundam subseries takes the familiar human-shaped mobile suits of the main series, and turns them into capsule-toy-sized shortstacks that retain their lethal firepower. There’s a massive list of more original media tied to the super-deformed part of the franchise, but the video games have generally retold the existing stories with chibi-sized bots, and G Generation Eternal is no exception.
These games, unlike the action-focused Battle Alliance, take significant cues from fellow mecha crossover series Super Robot Wars, being designed around tactical combat. Fights in G Generation Eternal tend to be massive, with the player regularly sortieing with ten or more suits at once and fighting off dozens of foes across wide grid maps. If you’re familiar with Fire Emblem, but are disappointed by that series’ mobile spinoff due to how different it feels from the main games, this might be closer to what you’re looking for.
Units and pilots are divided broadly into three categories, Attacker, Defender, and Supporter. Attackers are your primary DPS units, and you’ll get a powerful one – the titular suit from the currently-airing Gundam GQuuuuuuX – right off the bat, though it’s unique in that it only has a melee weapon. Defenders are able to take hits for nearby units during the enemy turn, and supporters can add their firepower to combat with friendly suits in a certain proximity.
The main twists of the combat system are Chance Rounds and Tension. Tension increases when you attack, and goes down when a suit takes damage, with the tension level affecting damage output. Chance Rounds are the real strategic element that incentivizes the player to carefully consider the order in which they’re taking units out, as destroying an enemy mobile suit with an attack will let your unit who dealt the damage act again at least once per turn. It’s exciting to set up units in a checkers-like fashion, where each is close enough to death to let my squadron jump across the field and wipe them all out.
This being a mobile game, auto battle is an option – and it’s even pretty fun to watch, given that battles tend to be lengthy affairs even on fast-forward – but the option doesn’t work well once the difficulty catches up to your squad’s power level, which is fine by me. Combat is fun enough that I genuinely enjoy engaging with it manually, and it’s miles ahead of U.C. Engage, where all combat is entirely automated.
Final words:
Players enter the Gundam universe and begin arranging to make a group. The combat units will be shaped by the player’s capacities. They will collect and select special characters to put into the most groups. This unit will accompany the player in enormous and small fights within the Gundam universe.
