Gameplay of Deus Ex GO Mod:

The player touches the screen to move Adam Jensen, a protagonist from the stealth combat, cyber-dystopian Deus Ex series, between nodes on a hexagonal grid towards an exit. If moved to a specific node, the character will stealthily take down guards, hack computers, and activate his human augmentations, such as invisibility. Enemies who spot Jensen will move towards and, if they reach his node, eliminate him. Alternatively, Jensen can eliminate enemies if approaching from behind or their side. In the game's story, which is set before the events of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Jensen's sole mission is to save an important person, but is continually set back by puzzles—54 in total.

The puzzles grow in complexity by adding complications to several simple mechanics. Mechanical enemies and obstacles, such as gun turrets and raisable platforms, are hackable via computer terminals on nearby nodes. The player drags their finger on the touchscreen to connect the terminal's node and the hackable device. The character can store a power-up to move for two turns without detection while in an enemy's line of sight, activate terminals remotely, or use projectile attacks against guards on distant nodes. The main game runs about three hours in length, and the player can purchase puzzle solutions through microtransactions. An additional puzzle design node—also new to the Go series—lets players make single-screen puzzles to share with others. Square Enix highlights five new puzzles in a weekly rotation. As part of a tie-in with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, players complete the main story and weekly puzzles in the mobile game to unlock perks in the console title.

For you, that is.On the other hand, many foes can be defeated from the back or either side, as Jensen dispatches them with his trademark style. One thing you might not expect if you're a series veteran shows up early on, as bad guys deploy Titan Shields. These make them impervious even to the vectors that would usually defeat them, so you'll need to wait for their tech to deactivate, returning them to their normal state.

Eat your heart out Harry Potter: Adam knows how to remain unseen without a magic cloak. If you locate an object that looks like a pyramid with a lightning bolt, you'll be able to use it to turn invisible by tapping the icon in the upper-right corner.The problem is that it only lasts a short time: One step, to be exact. Jensen reappears when he takes the second step, meaning you have to be sure that you hold off turning invisible until exactly the right moment.While invisible, you can take out normal guards from the front, since they can't see you coming and defend themselves. It's the one exception to an otherwise immutable GO law.

Hacking is surviving: You know what's cool? Being able to tap into the security systems of the places you're trying to infiltrate and turn them against your opponents.Wouldn't you know it, that's exactly what you can do in Deus Ex GO Mod. Any time you see an upside-down triangle with a computer monitor in it, it's time to make like fsociety and get to work.When you are on one of those nodes, you can tap on Adam to enter hacking mode. While in it, you can trace lines from that node to others, including, at times, using routes unavailable for Jensen to travel by foot.Two very handy things can be done by hacking. One is to activate gun turrets, which allows you to take out any guards in front of them.The other is to make temporary floor tiles appear or disappear, allowing you to reach previously unattainable areas or to strand foes on the other side of holes.Each level in Deus Ex GO Mod with terminals will challenge you to use hacks in slightly different ways, so be sure to experiment any time you see a new location.

It's a fun puzzle game themed on Deus Ex. No previous game knowledge is needed. Graphics are stylish and the music fits the Deus ex theme. It does a good job telling you the rules and you can play it to the end with out needing to pay any micro transactions. There is a problem on Huawei chipsets where cutscenes won't display properly, so keep that in mind!

Yes some of the levels are hard, but why would you play if it was easy. I play chess all the time so I play this game the same way. Zoom out a bit and play your moves in your head before you move,also the NPCs moves at the same time. I finished with all achievements. I have had no problems with this game. Also about the text problem, I have had no problems reading anything. It must be your phone or tablet.

I've spent a lot of covid-19 lockdown with this little gem. I have not experienced any glitches or text overlay bugs so cannot comment on negative reviews. Huge fan of the other GO titles. This is no exception with the added bonus of community puzzles, giving some longevity to an otherwise brisk story mode. If you love the Deus Ex Universe this is a must-play and a fun title to sink time into. I hope more people download it and contribute to the community puzzles to keep the game alive!

Well done game. Took about 2 hours to beat. I had some minor complaints. There's no tutorial/game mechanic explanations. Having to click the blue item then your character to cloak is unintuitive. Just click the gem once. Same with the hacking terminal. One click. Sometimes the blue item vanishes when you cancel your choice, forcing you to reboot the entire level. Weak story/characters. The puzzles were fun though! Highly recommend still.
