How Free Is Free?

Before I dive into the game, I feel like I have to talk about Isekai Awakening and its pricing structure. The free version or demo if you prefer is very, very barebones. It gives you the smallest taste of what the game has to offer. This is a game that is funded via Patreon and to be fair, developers have to make money I get that. However, there are some people who have questioned just how fair the pricing structure of the game is. To be honest with you, I played the demo and felt that it made me want to see what else this has to offer. However, due to the negativity around the game, I am waiting until it is 100 percent complete to throw my money down.

A Pixel Roll In The Hay!

The visual style of Isekai Awakening is something that I like. The game has a pixel art style about it, but it is more like something you would have seen on the Sony PlayStation in 1996 than the Super Nintendo in 1993. It has a rather cool style about it and there are some detailed character portraits that are rather well done. The game has a fantasy setting which I like and I did see a few different lewd scenes, that were all done with the in game graphics and I thought they were a lot of fun, especially the scene where you bang the chick over the table!

Taking An Arrow To The Knee

One of the biggest complaints I have heard about Isekai Awakening is the grind. The demo or free version of this has you play a few mini-games like having to shoot moving people with a bow and arrow and you do these and the quests and so on what feels like a million times to make the smallest bit of progress. One thing I would like the developer to come out and say is if the grinding is this slow in the paid version of the game! I would wager that the grind is putting off a lot of people from actually buying the full version of this. If the grind is say halved, this could turn out to be a fun fantasy lewd RPG.
