Gamer Struggles is a 2D adventure game with rich content, rich plot, and varied actions, aimed at adult audiences. It all started when the protagonist grew tired of her lifestyle, and after both the neighbors and the homeowner grew tired of it, she was kicked out of the rental apartment. She had no choice but to travel on the streets of the city, searching for shelter. This is very difficult, considering the female protagonist's lack of social skills and the fact that the world she lives in is a very cruel and vulnerable place.

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's been a while, hasn't it? I've been extremely busy with university studies for the past two months and haven't posted that much under the period, with I'd like to apologize for. However I'm here to ensure you that the game isn't dead and share some of the things we've been working on. Let's jump straight into it!

General Changes

Gallery Rework: Just as promised, the gallery has been fully reworked, with changing backgrounds and better tab organization.  Event sex scenes are now also featured!

Perma-Death removed: You may now grind the EXP for as long as you'd like as the perma-death mechanics for the enemies has been removed as requested. If you would want to revisit the naughty scenes outside the gallery you are now also free to do so! Now that I'm thinking about it, should probably also give an option to replay the boss battles.

New Areas: Don't want to spoil too much, but we've made some good progress on the level building, adding many new dialogues and areas. This is the bulk of the work we've been focused on, since most of what we wanted to add gameplay-wise in already there. As mentioned in the previous posts, I added secret areas to the levels for the fun of it!

Minor Visual Changes: Enemies and other entities now flash white when damaged. Among other things, projectile hit particle effects have been reworked. Particle effects in general, now use a different system which contributes to a better optimization.

Upgrade Menu Improvements: Smooth animations and value displays in the upgrade menu!

Art & Sexy Stuff

Changing Scene: Raki has finished up the changing scene in the beginning of the beach area.

Forest-Beach Transition Scene: He has also redrawn and rewritten the transition scene between two levels.

Animation Reworks

Something that I've been unhappy about for a long time are the animations (which practically are the cornerstone of the game lol). So we've sat down and finally standardized the animations in a way where they are both aligned with the style of the game and detailed enough to smoothly capture the movement.

Ramkal has been working on redrawing the current animations to be smoother and aligned with the established style. Hopefully, all of them will be ready until the upcoming release!

Sound Design

New music themes / Ambience: 3 new music themes for the new areas, events and boss battles. Additionally, expanded ambience for level immersion!

New Sex Sounds: Currently working on reworking the sex sound system, adding new sounds for variation and making it all fit together nicely.

Bugfixes

Improved Bibi AI: Smarter Bibi AI now prevents her from getting stuck at obstacles as often!

Water Splash Audio Bug: Audio bug where you could sometimes hear water splash sound when you entered the level has been fixed.

Noclip: Bug that occurred when two entities stood on top of you while you were in a sex scene. Upon escaping you would often fall down into the void. Now fixed.

Challenges: A more challenging bug that we didn't have much luck tackling at the moment is control unresponsiveness on Android. It is both hard to reproduce it and find where it comes from, but there are suspicions it is linked to overall optimization of the game, which we will aim to improve in the future.

Wouldn't want spoiling everything for you, so this is where I'm gonna end the post :") Before releasing the update, we would like to first fully finish the level, hope you guys understand. By my estimations, we will be done with it around January.

Had super high hopes the first time I played a demo and I think you're going in an incredible direction. Just played through it again, here are my pointless thoughts:On mobile, maybe make the character portrait a bit smaller. I noticed when I was fighting the bear that his health overlapped my dodge button and on my phone I could still see that info if it were smaller.Could we eventually see what our stat values are/will become when we upgrade? When I level up I decide which stat to change but I would love to know what the stat is before/after I decide so I can make a more informed decision.Also I noticed during the bear fight and later with the bunnies that sex initiation before defeat (before 0hp) will often cover the buttons so you aren't able to escape.I'm not worried about bugs, it's in development, but there were a few minor ones. Sometimes the girls bug out and won't attack you after you've fallen down, even if you get up and fight them. I let my horny bar fill up in the pink aphrodisiac stuff and it bugged and no one would attack me and I couldn't masturbate.Anyway if you just keep going this game is going to be incredible. It is already cute and sexy and actually a fun platformer, so I still have insanely high hopes for this. Thank you, keep it up!

It's not a big deal and might be a slightly odd thing to comment on, but the intro cutscene when you first start the game could benefit from pausing at the end of each text box, with a button/key prompt before showing the next one. As it is now, I barely have time to read each one, and half the time it gets cut short, the next box showing before the last one is even finished typing out.I know it's not exactly the main focus of the game or anything, but I figure if there's a backstory included then you'd like players to be able to read it.

I did enjoy getting to try this game, but I guess I am not an expert enough platform gamer to get very far. I got stuck in the purple goo area after meeting the fry guy. I did manage to learn dash jumps and can finally sometimes get across the first set of double-platform towers and past the wolf, but then I'm hit by balls that follow me and boom, I'm starting the whole area again. Really wish this part was easier or I had a cheat mode to get me get past this to see the rest of the game, or wish I could save just before the guided missiles.

It's alright. It's another one of the "quirky indie platformer for incels uwu" type game, pretty easily recognizable by the glow overlay and chromatic distortion used.The mechanics are good at first. You dash quick, movement is good. But, when you get hit, you get stunned for half a second for some reason? Useless feature.The boss sucks. He has a random attack pattern, is way too quick, and if he hits you, he stuns you, so he hits you at least twice everytime he catches you. He also seems to be hitting you even when you're dashing above him. He has way too much HP for dealing 10 damage, and he does too much damage to you. It's not really balanced. When you're attacking, you have to wait for the animation to finish to do another action (like dashing), so before you can dash he will hit you.Also, why is recharging dashes so slow? What's up with that? Especially considering how often they're used.The environments look good, but the levels themselves have a weird design. On the beach stage, I had to wait some 3 millenia to jump on a surfboard, just to wait another 3 millenia to get off it.I activated a CG scene in some hot dog place I think. Holy shit, I should have not. You can't skip the dialogue. The cringy ass dialogue. I'm pretty sure I permanently damaged my shift key trying to go through the dialogue as quick as I can, because no one reads that shit. Then, of course, the game bugged, and activated ANOTHER dialogue sequence, but I was not even near the NPC, and was dashing as I was pressing shift. Then after the dialogue, I could not move. Excellent.

Conclusion:

Gamer Struggles - 2D adventure with a large amount of explicit content, an interesting plot, a variety of events and many characters, a product for an adult audience. It all starts with the main character being evicted from her rented apartment after her lifestyle has become boring to both her neighbors and the owner of the living space. She has no choice but to go on a journey through the city streets in search of shelter. Which is very difficult given the lack of any social skills in the heroine, as well as the fact that the world in which she lives is very cruel to weak loners.
