While many clients have their favorite, we advise getting to know 2-3 of our doctors so both you and your pet are comfortable with our staff should your regular doctor be out of the office.Each time you schedule a visit with the doctor, your pet will receive a thorough physical exam. If your appointment is for vaccinations or a heartworm test, our veterinarians will give your pet a full, complementary exam prior to vaccinating to ensure your pet is healthy before receiving vaccinations.It's a good idea to keep a medical file not only of the procedures and vaccinations your pet receives while at the office, but to also keep notes on things like your pet's elimination habits and any physical changes or unusual occurrences. Keep track of shifts in your pet's behavior, along with diet and routine modifications. Take this notebook when you visit the vet. These seemingly unrelated occurrences may help explain results of your pet's medical tests.Danada Veterinary Hospital recognizes the pet overpopulation problem. For those clients that have rescued a pet within the past month from an organized, not-for-profit rescue group or not-for-profit shelter, we will waive the initial veterinary exam fee. Please bring the paperwork that accompanied your animal when it was adopted. Additional charges for services or vaccines may apply.We look forward to meeting you and your best friend!

Appointments

To ensure the best possible care for your pets, we operate by appointment only. This allows us to provide personalized attention and minimize wait times. While we make a sincere effort to see each patient on time, an inevitable delay may occur due to emergencies.

Missed Appointment Policy

Missed appointments and last-minute cancellations result in lost openings that would have helped us serve other patients and may be subject to a no-show fee. We require a credit card on file for new clients at the time of scheduling. Existing clients who miss an appointment and fail to cancel in advance will also be required to leave a credit card deposit before they can schedule their next appointment. To avoid this no-show fee, we request cancellation no later than the evening prior to the scheduled appointment. We understand extenuating circumstances occur so management will consider each case at their discretion if cancellation occurs the day of the appointment.

I travel 40miles SPECIFICALLY for Danada Veterinary Hospital! My family and I were loyal patients to a veterinary practice in Woodfield for 25+ years. Our 2yr old puppy got sick and our previous vet couldn’t find the answer - by no fault of their own. We had to bring our boy to multiple different vets and a few universities try to find answers to this “mystery” illness. The only good thing that came from that experience was finding Dr. Gunderson. She spent countless hours with us in the office, took late night phone calls to answer questions, and took her personal time to research answers. We will forever be thankful for her during that time. Additionally, Dr. Wallach has been incredible. Our female corgi came down with acute pancreatitis last fall. Dr. Wallach got her in right away, made sure to see her next day for a follow up, and called me periodically over the next week to check-in on her. Because of these two, I happily pack up my bunny and travel 50min for her check-ups and nail trims - now that i’ve moved out of my family home. I will always go out of my way for Danada as they continue to value special veterinarians like Dr. Gunderson and Dr. Wallach
