Best mandarin learning app, worth paying for, but Ide like a bit more customisability. The app is free to try but to progress youll need the yearly basic subscription, the more general apps like duolingo dont really cover chinese very well as theres a lot of added context that needs explaining. To improve Ide really like to be able to turn more features on and off, they kind of have this for pinyin/hanzi but personally I only want to speak/listen for my partner and don't really care to write etc.

Tried the Demo version and literally learned more in that demo then I have in the last week of trying to learn with other apps. and I feel like I am remembering what I just learned. so I signed up for their premium+ subscription after the demo ran out. They offer a lot if different paid versions, I opted for the highest tier which was only 149. for a year at the max tier. They had options as low as ...I want to say 3 or 5 dollars a month? Anyway, I reccomend it. really enjoying the flow.

This app has been fantastic for me, a first time learner. Over 28 days, at 1-3 lessons a day, i completed the entire free main course. I purchased the 3 month premium and so far I'm very satisfied with what I'm getting. This app is easy to use, includes lots of different ways of engaging with the characters you're learning including learning to write them, typical bookwork style, and games/stories to read. There are videos and podcasts from real Chinese speakers. I can't write more, but try it!

SOOO good!! I started with just some YouTube videos and SuperChinese, but the addition of HelloChinese makes my learning experience even better!! While SuperChinese focuses on speaking, HelloChinese prioritizes character and pinyin recognition, which I need major help with. I like the style of the lessons and how things are set up.
