Features of LingoDeer:
Lots of Language Options: Choose from a range of languages, including Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, French, Spanish (both Latin American and European!), Russian, and more.
Start from Basics, Reach A1-B1: Lessons are structured to take you from beginner to intermediate, so you don’t get lost. Build a solid foundation or keep progressing—up to you.
Learn Real Reading and Writing: Struggling with Hangul or kana? The app helps you tackle new alphabets with step-by-step guides so you can actually read menus or texts, not just listen.
Native Speaker Audio: Listen to crisp, clear recordings—the kind that actually help with pronunciation. You might even trick someone into thinking you’re a local (maybe).
Engaging Review Tools: Mix things up with flashcards, pop quizzes, and targeted exercises. You can review words while waiting for coffee or fit in a quick quiz between meetings.
Progress Tracker: Keep an eye on your stats and see just how far you’ve come (and where you need to brush up).

Functions of LingoDeer:
You are welcome to our world with a wide range of courses and lectures in different fields. This will give you full access to the skills. We provide an alphabet system that ranges from the most complex languages such as Japanese and Korean, to more familiar ones like English. This allows users to know how to write essential characters in order to gradually learn vocabulary. A collection of millions words with detailed definitions.
LingoDeer, as mentioned above designs lessons and exercises that allow users to review what they already know. Further, there are higher levels available so that users can progress from the basic knowledge they have acquired to more advanced knowledge. Lessons can be tailored to the characteristics of completely new languages. It helps users to avoid feeling uncomfortable or having difficulties learning a new language with characteristics that are different from their own. The user can also apply foreign language experiences.
LingoDeer can be considered as a right-hand person to help you understand and grasp the knowledge, so you can create hundreds of sentences your way. Learners also have free access to a textbook that includes full grammar samples at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. You will have access to a series of lectures that provide a structured path for your learning.
It will take a lot of time to learn the alphabet and then move on to conversation. Users will have many different types of knowledge. You will be unable to ignore writing skills in a figurative or symbolic language if you are learning it. It is easy to learn. Just follow the instructions and you’ll be able to do it. It is not always necessary to jump straight into communication. Instead, the basics are changed and re-focused so you can have the best possible learning experience. After you pass these tests, your next step will be to master the lessons.

User Reviews of LingoDeer:
Well, It is indeed a great app for beginners. Teaches a lot of grammar, structures you will use, how to use the particles and enough vocabulary. If you use the app to it's fullest, it is sure you are going to get enough to bypass the starter level and follow through you journey to become more and more fluent. It doesn't solve all your problem, does magic nor teaches you everything, it still depends on you, but it is, indeed, a great learning tool. Please keep improving the Japanese course!
I love that it teaches true grammar. And as long as you don't rush, you can get to a good level. So I'm not going to the next section until I ace each test at the end. The native speaker's is brilliant too. So you can hear the actual language said by real people. There is no free version with ads. Only free trial then paid. But it's worth the money if you really want to learn that language.
Calling it an excellent app is a huge understatement, not only does it do a phenominal job at teaching you the language you want to learn (I can personally vouch for Thai and English), the app itself is extremely well made. Never crashes, never lags, and works without internet (as long as you download the lessons for offline use first, it doesn't bloat your device with unneccessary lessons!) 6/5 stars easily.
Best thing I've found so far for free thats comparable (if not better) than duolingo. I finshed duolingos tree years ago and I needed something new. only thing I don't like is if you can't test out of one level, it makes you take all the lessons you skipped up until that point even if you already tested out of those. edit: 2026 and still using this app. now working on chinese. it helps so much with casual learning and the native speaker audio is so helpful.
I'm using it to study Mandarin and Korean. It's similar to other language apps, but the content quality is higher all around. It has better language-specific intro to writing systems. Sentences make more sense and illustrate grammar points better. I love the videos of native speakers saying the sentences. The advanced content stays great and pushes your fluency more. I love the pay-once pricing option, and that the gamified elements are less in-your-face.

You see it when you realize you’re developing a genuine understanding of your chosen language instead of just memorizing common phrases. And you certainly see it when you compare LingoDeer to all the other free language apps out there.
How to manage the reminders?
On the mobile app, you can manage the recurring reminders by clicking ME>>Settings >> Reminders and turn it on or off. You can update settings by your preferred time, whether you’d like reminders to study in the morning, afternoon or evening!
Speaking Exercises: How can I check what I’ve recorded?
Most, if not all, of the sections in LingoDeer will have speaking exercises that let you record yourself for practice.
What is the difference between French Accelerated and French Normal?
The 'French Normal' course provides learners with systemic knowledge of the language with heavy emphasis on essential grammar, and follows a more conventional "textbook" structure. And as its name suggests, the French Accelerated course is designed to be faster paced. As well as covering the "textbook essentials", it also includes less formal language, such as colloquialisms that are frequently used in day to day conversation. So while both courses are directed at teaching A1-B1 content, the accelerated course will also give you extra grounding in the more casual language used in informal/familiar contexts and situations.
Summary:
LingoDeer helps any user learn a new language, from basic to advanced, with complete ease. You can determine your status with the lessons it provides and choose more suitable routes from there. Learning is not only limited to the languages you know before but also to new languages that you are curious about. For example, if you like anime and want to experience the feeling of speaking Japanese like in the cartoons you often watch, you can learn the first lessons. The application will support you in all cases so that you receive knowledge in the most effective way.
