Gameplay:

In Whispering Willows the players will play the role of a very responsible daughter – they have to play as Elena Elkhorn. Control the character’s navigation and actions with the help of the function keys. She will go to the Willows Mansion in search of her father. Her journey is a little different from others because Elena does not have to wait for the door to open. With the help of her pendant, Elena can transform her flesh and blood body into a spirit. With that ghostly appearance, she can move around.

Interact with different ghosts of the Mansion and find out different clues to reach her father. Fly and explore as a spirit and you can possess certain objects, for example with the help of levers players can manipulate the environment. Keep collecting different items to use at the time of need. You never know what can help you, so keep collecting the notes from other ghosts and use them as a clue.

Ever since launch, we've been keeping an eye on all the bug reports and community feedback the game has gotten. Today, we're releasing a small patch to address a whole host of those issues! A large number of changes are dedicated to language-specific problems that arise when swapping from one language to another, so if you're playing using the game's many translations you should have a much smoother experience!

Walkthrough:

From the start, head left to the pile of rubble and hit cn_A to pick up your amulet, which allows you to go into spirit form with cn_X. It will show you an inventory that you can access with cn_Y, but this is entirely unnecessary. I didn’t even realize I had an inventory until I had already finished my first playthrough.Head to the right, and when your amulet glows and the controller vibrates (which can’t be turned off, unfortunately), go into spirit form and interact with the ghost to receive Flying Hawk’s Ghost. Continue right in spirit form and fly up through the crack in the wall, activating the lever to open the side door for your fleshy self to pass through. You’ll unlock First Contact here.

Head through the gate you opened. This type of door that goes left/right in the character's plane will be referred to as a side door (regardless of if wood door or metal), for future reference on door types. Go into the nearby darkened doorway. This type of door will be referred to as a background door, for future reference on door types. Head down two ladders, then go left and up the next ladder. From here, use spirit form to fly up through a hole in the roof, then down another hole to the left to activate another lever. Go back to your body and through the newly opened side door to get the Storage Key.

Head back to the right and down the ladder, then through the nearby darkened doorway to your left. If you’re in the right spot you’ll see some bloody scratches on the wall leading to a locked door to your right. Head left and down the ladder, then left again, using your key to unlock the side door. Head all the way to the left, using spirit form to go through a hole in the ceiling and flip a lever up above, which will open a distant door that we’ll backtrack to.

Head all the way to the right past the cage, back up the ladder, and through the background door. Head right past the two ladders and go down a third, then head left past several crypts to find a Crescent Key sitting on one at the end. An evil spirit will spawn. Run to the right, using spirit form through the crack to open the door for yourself, then climb the ladder to escape, unlocking I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost.

Head up the ladder, then up the next one immediately to your right, and up the third above that. Head right, through the door background door, up a final ladder to the right, and at long last exit the crypts using the Crescent Key to unlock the exit. Once outside, you can run using Right or Left Trigger. It’s a shame this can’t be done indoors.

Head right past the fountain and Garden exit and grab the Bucket. Exit the garden via the background door that says "leave garden", and head left. Exit this area to the Front of the Mansion via the background door, then head left into the tool shed and grab the Shovel. Head back outside and through the way you came to go back to the Back of the Mansion area, then left and into the Guest House.

Head left through the door, past the fireplace, and up the stairs. Use spirit form to go through the ceiling and back down, moving a table away from the side door so you can get through. Head right and through the foreground door at the end of the hall, before the ladder. This type of door that is facing the screen will be referred to as a foreground door from now on, for reference on door types. Use spirit form to go through the crack in the wall and navigate the smallish darkened maze inside. On the other end, possess the painting and rotate it to open a crawl space below the maze and head back to your body to crawl through, grabbing the Sheet Music off the table.

Head back to the right, through the background door you came in, then all the way to the left and back downstairs. Near the fireplace is a piano. Use spirit form and give the Sheet Music to the ghost. He’ll play it and open a ladder in the fireplace, allowing you down into the basement, where you’ll attempt to find Flying Hawk’s body with the Shovel. After failing and escaping the grasping hands back up the ladder, you’ll unlock Give them a Hand.

Player Comments:

The story is really solid! l just wish the plot could have unfolded a little more organicallythrough dialogue as opposed to finding notes everywhere and having to read diaryentries. Puzzles were decent and the mechanics of the game remind me a little of GhostTrick. One thing that could be greatly improved and probably easy to update - theillustrations of the cinematics. The illustrations look a bit amateur and they don't matchthe style of the gameplay graphics which appear more refined. lt's not a good firstimpression of the game. You aren't animating them anyway, so it would be simple enoughto find another illustrator to spruce up the production value. Overall, l am impressedthough,and I would buy another game from this company!

The concept is good (even if the whole Native American thing has been strip-mined todeath for horror story setups; could we PLEASE get past this plot device?) The customersupport is really good. The puzzles aren't too hard, and old school gamers may benefitfrom drawing the traditional graph paper map... the changing mode is interesting. lt'sbroken into chapters and has a natural learning curve to it that l found really engaging. lfyou get stuck in the garden maze with the monsters, run forwards and back so that theygrab and miss. Totally happy about how responsive this company is- if you have aproblem, email them, l got an answer over labor day weekend. That's dedication. lt is alot like a point and click adventure, in good ways, without the having to point and click. lalso really like having the controls where they are, it's a hybrid between a console gameand a point and click and it works out pretty well!

The game was enjoyable but l was able to finish it in 3 hours. The puzzles are from easy-midium levels, nothing that makes you think really hard. The games requires a lot ofreading (you don't have to read it all to finish the game though) so if your phone is smallyour eyes might have to do a lot of work. The last challenge was too easy which wasdisappointing. And storyteling was rather simple. Overall, l enjoyed the game but wish itwas more complicated.

Also in the game there is a beautiful 2-dimensional graphics and exciting melodies that will make you crave more. The emotional story will unfold in five exciting chapters, each of which is more intriguing than the previous one. The story will immerse you in a rich history imbued with the depths of the human soul while you unravel the secrets of wayward spirits.You will take on the role of a young girl named Elena, who is looking for her missing father, despite difficulties, solving unconventional puzzles and overcoming otherworldly obstacles. She must use the powers of her heritage, using astral projection and other ethereal abilities to find her father before he too gets lost in the hopeless swamp of the Willows Estate.
