So, im not a big superhero fan, the only superhero I ever liked was Power Girl and that was not for the superhero reason. I also only ever watched one of the Batman movies I think, so I dont really know much of the lore around it. I do however love Telltale and I gladly play anything they make, no matter if the theme interests me or not, because they almost always find a way to make it interesting.The story in this game, without spoiling anything important, reminds me a lot of The Wolf Among Us, in the way that you are essentially just solving a mystery that unfolds by itself episode after episode and with a lot of killing and harming people involved. While I did enjoy this story, it isnt as good as The Wolf Among Us. It just isnt surprising enough, I felt like I could guess most of what was gonna happen and it did kill it a little bit for me. Selina did kinda save it though, that spicy scene in the apartment was something else, and definitely hope to see more of that in future titles.

The game does an excellent job of making your choices feel meaningful, whether you’re speaking as Bruce Wayne or as Batman.The game is very interactive, especially during the action and fighting scenes. You actually have to pay attention to the directions and timing the game gives you, or it’s game over and you have to restart. Unlike other games in this genre that just tell you to move your mouse and click, this one syncs the action with your movements, which makes the combat feel more cinematic and intense. There are so many variables depending on what you say or do, and it’s impressive how a single dialogue choice can completely change character relationships and future events.

I was supposed to play this with someone. It didn't work out that way, and I hope they too will get to enjoy this gem one day.I played a lot of Telltale games. I love the format. I must say, this is the best crafted mechanics wise. You can see how the mechanics have matured over time to give us this game.I was a bit reluctant to touch Batman franchise after what Nolan did to it. I didn't want another billionaire apologist scenario. To my relief it was much more nuanced. I really enjoyed that things weren't just black and white (despite the shadows edition) and the game explored a lot of gray areas.
