Chinese Parents is a lighthearted life simulation game where players experience four distinct life stages: preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school. Players must continuously improve their character's attributes and shape their child's personality through various lessons and fun mini-games. As the story progresses, players will make different friends and find love, winning the affections of the opposite sex through dialogue, gift-giving, and making the right choices. Chinese Parents also features hundreds of different career options, unlocked based on the player's personality, attributes, and inclinations. Strategies:

By far the greatest benefit of traits is to defeat challengers; the earlier the challenges are beaten, the better it is for the character as the stat boosts greatly reduce knowledge costs.

All challengers deal 90 damage over 5 turns and have 100 HP, like the player character. This means that dealing 91 damage or above is sufficient to beat them. As legendary traits are rarely obtained, it is better to focus on getting epic traits: 4 epic traits and a common trait, or 3 epic traits and two rare traits, are sufficient to beat any challenger.

Scheduling activities that grant epic traits as much as possible early on maximizes the odds of having a good roster of traits by the time challenges can be taken. The earliest activities that give epic traits are baby swim/running (male only), baby yoga/somersaults (female only), Pinyin, and Reading & Writing. One may also purchase heirlooms that grant traits to speed up the process of gaining good traits.

As beating each challenger grants a new legendary trait, each successive challenge becomes easier. Obtaining these traits also means that the player can win in any China's Got Trait event or relative face battle.

Player Comments:

In the first few playthroughs the grind is mostly just hard, frustrating and repetitive, but you're learning the game anyways and if you stick with it later generations get a lot of bonuses that make it easier to succeed and thereby access all the actual content of the game more easily, like the career paths and the friends stories. My tip is to try to get the hard Requests from your parents as you can get nice bonuses from those if you get lucky and they consent.

So far I've only played 6 hours... On steam. I tried this originally with the google play app, having completed the free trial, I was left quite sad I would no longer be able to play. I proceeded to get this on both steam and google play.If you're feeling sick, fatigued, low energy- I highly reccomend this game. Reminder: 6 hours only on steam... Likely 3 hours on tablet, and will be many more to come!

Found this a couple years ago from a youtube video, not expecting much.This is genuinely one of the few games I play when I get a chance to. It feels like being in a time vacuum. Only downside I've found is the look people give you when you say you're playing a game called "Chinese Parents," despite being very visibly not Chinese.

Super fun and TONS of replay value! I love how different parenting styles lead to different kinds of gameplay, and there are sooo many careers to shoot for. Highly recommend if you enjoy Princess Maker, I was a Teenage Exocolonist, or any other raising/life sims.My one complaint is some of the minigames (Face battle and student council election) feel slow compared to the rest of the gameplay loop.
