Strategies of Rusted Warfare:

If you are new to this but think that it's an easy win if you go against Very Hard and Impossible, I'm afraid you're mistaken. But there are ways to make sure that these AI difficulties will be easy.

My suggestion is that you choose a map that is able to at least support 3 players. Next is that I say you turn on FFA or Free For All so that your enemies will go at each other's throats. This allows you to have some time to develop. Another good suggestion is having at least one ally if you're going up against 4 or more AI's. Basically, for some weird reason, the enemy AIs' will attack your ally first, mostly. This scenario will look like as if your ally is holding the fort and while they do this, the best thing to do is gather resources, increase defense in case te enemy attacks you at your weakest, have a good amount of income, an area with to build lots of factories for producing units for your army, and the army itself. But I recommend making an army that's not too big so that you'll have enough money to build a nuke launcher and nukes. After the nukes complete your army. Use the nukes first which will weaken the enemy and then launch the attack with your army against the weakened enemies. All though, this tactic works best against Medium and Hard AI's and not so much with Very Hard and Impossible since Hard Ai's and Ai's that are easier can't use nukes even though they can build nuke launchers and anti nuke launchers. Honestly, this plan might work 30%-60% against Very Hard and Impossible AI's unless you have allies but most of the time it's 50/50.

Very beginner friendly RTS. The vanilla AI isn't great, it pretty much only builds mechs and gunships, but there are a whole bunch of mods on the workshop to improve every facet of this game, which i think is its real purpose anyway. RTS Veterans might find the game lacking, but new players wanting to get into the genre will have a great time starting here.

This game is incredibly fun as long as you can find some patient friends as the rounds can take upwards of an hour. It's extremely balanced and my only issue is that clicking shift tab in fullscreen breaks the screen. This seems to just be a me though.

Ive played a number of RTS games. This is a basic game, with no armor vs damage type of specific units but you know what? Some times I like to go in, build a base, make a stronghold and have fun. A throw back to the 90s.The real prize is the workshop. This game has a lot of mods that adds units, total conversions, and improvement to AI.

For $5, I would buy it 12 times just because its worth that much to me, this game is easily worth $60, I play this more than a new AAA game. I dont think Ive gone a day without playing it since I bought it a year ago. Its so simple, yet so, so, adddicting. and since the graphics are basic (which I dont mind, I would play the game no matter the look, the gameplay just steals the show) it literally can run on ANYTHING, i think I could maybe run it on my toaster if I wasnt as dumb as the toaster itself. But overall, If youre looking for a RTS game to sink MONTHS into, then youve found it.
