Catalyst Black is an action-adventure game where players team up with friends to explore various maps. The game features a wide selection of characters, each with unique skill sets, encompassing both melee and ranged combat. Players must collect and upgrade their equipment to gain greater firepower, defeat other players, and emerge victorious. The game offers a variety of engaging gameplay modes, such as Capture the Flag, Core Control, Arena, and Killing Spree, each providing its own unique fun and allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the game.

Modes of Catalyst Black:

Capture the Flag is a mode where teams attempt to capture the flag of the other team at the opposite side of the map. They then need to return the flag back to their home base, thereby earning a point. The first team to 5 points wins.

Flag Hunters is a game where players have to collect and hold flags that are dropped by NPC monsters called Guardians. Once a team has 10 flags collectively, a timer starts to count down which is reset if any players on the team currently controlling the most flags dies. At the end of the timer, the team that has control of the flags is the winner.

Core Rush is a king of the hill style game where players first defeat a Guardian which then spawns a circular area of control that the player must hold for a period of time to gain points. The first team to score 15 points wins.

Colosseum, which is currently the only PvE game mode, puts players against waves of increasingly difficult monsters in a time-trial style series of events. The faster that the player and their team defeats all the enemies, the more rewards are earned.

Eventide consists of two teams of up to 15 players each on one of the largest maps in the game. There are multiple mini-game events during the course of the match which add points to each team. The first team to the goal wins the overall match, however players can also earn in-game rewards for individual participation.

Slayer is a true battle royale style game mode which is about getting the most kills until a specified goal, or until the timer runs out. In this mode players that stay alive longer are worth more points when killed, as indicated by the blue diamond indicators over their characters heads.

Strategies of Catalyst Black:

Don’t forget to dodge: This is probably one of the easiest things to forget, but dodging can get you out of really tricky situations. If you’re getting ganked, if you’re on the verge of death – basically any time you need to make a quick getaway – the dodge can come in super handy. Remember it’s there and remember to use it.

Collect your rewards: There are always rewards waiting for you after a scrap, whether it’s in the form of completed quests, levelling up goodies or just random stuff the game throws at you. Make sure you grab them all – the more you’ve got, the more powerful you can get. The more powerful you are, the better you’re going to do.

Keep upgrading: You should always be upgrading your gear and skills. Check the new weapons and kit you unlock as well to see if any of it’s going to help you out more than what you’ve already got equipped. As well as upgrading it’s important to learn what your equipment actually does and how you can use it to the best of its capabilities.

Stick with your team: It’s important not to go lone wolf, at least for the most part. Stick with your team and use your abilities to support and strengthen each other. You’re much more likely to defeat enemies if you’re working together. Feel free to run off when you go Primal, but don’t go too far – there are items that will buff players if they’re close to an ally Primal.

Just a well made, really fun game. Contrary to other reviews, I haven't had much trouble with match making levels, and even when I do come up against someone way higher it doesnt seem to make as much difference if you are skilled. Just one problem, please for the love of god add a solo mode. I am sick to death of absolutely carrying my team and getting so many kills but my teammates just wont stop feeding so we lose because of teammates. Also profile stats would be nice. Strongly recommend!

I've been playing for about a month now. I really love the game play and how you can really customize your characters load out. The matches are highly competitive. The daily/weekly quests give nice rewards and don't take too long to complete. One thing I have noticed recently is the amount of bots. There can be quite a lot of bots at times, but I'm sure this will dissipate as the game gains more popularity. Without a doubt this still remains a 5/5 in my eyes. Playing everyday!

So Amazing and Addictive Game! The Game is Lit!! Please add more game modes where you could team up with friends and conquer the world together like a monster hunt or zombie apocalypse. The Game have so much potential; worth investing! Keep up the great Job. Though, there are still many bugs to work through but you can overcome it! I'm sticking to this game and be with you guys till you reach the top!

It's a great game, unique and has its own playstyle. However, the only problem that bothers me the most is the game being unbalanced, It's unfair getting matched up against high level gear(Trinkets, Weapons, etc.) players. Maybe optimize the characters models too, their clothing looks awfully made and very blurry. Other than that the game is good and has alot of opportunities.
