To consolidate its interests, the Igodra Corporation constructed a massive circular orbital base—Grey City—atop the equator, and deployed strategic weapons upon it.

Grey City's existence threatened the interests of other conglomerates, who united to form the "Human Alliance" to attack the Igodra Corporation. Ultimately, the Human Alliance won the war at a heavy cost, crippling Grey City, but the Igodra Corporation's absolute power remained unshaken.

During the war, the Human Alliance captured the artificial lifeform 01, modeled after Urd, created by the Igodra Corporation. Based on this, they developed their own Delta technology and Aeta, breaking the Igodra Corporation's monopoly on Delta technology. The Human Alliance and the Igodra Corporation entered a period of confrontation.
