Lumino City

Lumino City is a beloved adventure puzzle game where players take on the role of Lumi, the guardian of the City of Light, on a journey to find her kidnapped grandfather. Players must explore this wondrous city built from paper, cards, and motors, solving various puzzles in locations such as the Hanging Gardens and the Giant Waterwheel, finding clues, and ultimately rescuing her grandfather. Gameplay of Lumino City:

If you touch a place in the background, Lumi can move there, and if you touch an object, you can manipulate it. In particular, if you touch the record player that appears in some places, the background sound stops and you hear the music coming from the record player. Some objects can be put in a bag and used later.

When moving to the next location, it is pleasing to the eye because it moves smoothly as the camera moves, rather than just switching backgrounds. Whenever the location changes, the background music also changes. However, it is difficult to distinguish between the background and the object. Sometimes it takes a very long time to solve a puzzle because there are objects that are overlooked. It's good to touch everything you see.

Whenever you proceed to the next location, you will see villagers, and if you solve the problems they have, you will be able to move to the next location. You can find out how to solve the problem by talking with Rumi and the villagers. The conversation proceeds one sentence at a time with each touch. It's hard to know how to solve a problem if you inadvertently skip over the conversation, so read the conversation carefully. You may get additional hints by talking back to the person you once talked to.

The downside is that once you touch the background, no other manipulations will work until Rumi gets there. It is very frustrating if you often touch wrongly.

Enjoying Lumino City on a sub-4-inch iPhone can be a little tough. This is because the screen is small, so there is a high probability that you will not be able to touch where you want.

It's a beautiful game. The music is good too. It's relaxing. The puzzles are challenging enough but not frustratingly so. There's a book you use in the game to understand the puzzles so you're not stuck. I only wish I could jump around the book so I could get to the table of contents easier and not have to repeatedly tap for the previous page. Minor gripe. I'm enjoying it. Thanks to all that worked on it. It reminds me of tearaway on the vita and I loved that game.

Such a cute story, puzzles were challenging, and seeing the hilarious characters through the city was great. Controls are a little touchy, and I didn't think to use the manual until the last puzzle...it would have made it a little easier if I had! A+ developers! I Loved this game!

It's very wholesome. I love how the hints for the puzzles are made in a handbook style. I'm not initially good at click-and-point game and puzzle (oftenly has low expectation to that type of game), but Lumino City surprisingly become one of my favourite.

Amazingly entertaining, I have to say the animations, music and the CHARACTERS...wow! That guy stuck in his hide away without his drawers lol Oh I just LOVED it, this game was a big reason I got play pass. I just wish it were longer! The puzzles are challenging without being frustratingly so, I couldn't put it down and beat it way too quickly. Waiting to see more!

Walkthrough of Lumino City:

The Gatehouse: Up at the gatehouse, click on the small gate. Click on the 5 buttons on the lock in an order so that you are always following the arrows (start at the one where there is only an arrow leading away). Go through the small gate once it is open.Enter the small building here to find a kitchen. Pick up the lemons, and take the book from the shelf to get a diagram. Go back outside and click on the electrical box. Drag your diagram and lemons out from your inventory. Now drag the lemons on to the power grid so that each of them connects a positive and negative terminal; there will be one lemon left over that you will take with you. Now climb right up on to the roof. Go and take the hook from the far left and attach it to the antenna. Press the button on the front of the building, then go up and sit on the antenna.

The Market: Chase the cat all the way to the Mayor's house. Talk to the Mayor until she gives you clues on how to enter the rest of the city. Go down the stairs on the right and click on the gears. Place all of the gears on pegs so they are interlocking and spinning the right way. Go back upstairs and outside, and click on the small box just to the right of the Mayor's house for another puzzle. Click the 3 buttons on the top right of this puzzle to rotate the different colored platforms so they match the display at the bottom right. Once this is achieved, click the red button. Now climb up the new staircase and walk through to the next area.

The Photographer: Press the small red button next to the door of the house on the left, then go inside. Talk to the photographer, then look at the large book of photos in the bookshelf. Continue to the room on the left, and look at the box on the left to see the next puzzle. Piece together the labels correctly on the bottles, then pour chemicals from the two bottles matching the partial labels indicated.Now approach the dials. Reset the position of the lenses using the red X button if needed. To get all of the light in the room red, press A three times, switch the top control to the right, press C and B, switch the top control back to the left, then press C three times. Pull the lever on the wall 3 times, then go back to the box of chemicals and soak the 3 negatives. Go back to the right and show the photograph to the photographer. Go back outside and use the photograph on the red flashing light on the other building. Go through the door and climb up the ladders.
