The game provides a fair competitive environment; after a match, players can file complaints against players exhibiting unusual behavior, and the game will process these complaints quickly, ensuring a worry-free gaming experience.

Fate Trigger

Characters of Fate Trigger:

Cynric: Due to the crystallization, he lost his original voice, and now he communicates through an electronic synthesizer connected to a speaker in his chest. When he's quiet, he comes across as a steady, trustworthy adult, projecting an intimidating presence. However, once he starts talking, all that composure crumbles—he's sarcastic, loves to poke fun, and is a notorious chatterbox who rambles on. He claims it's because his face is obscured, prompting him to use an excess of words to express his feelings and emotions. He may seem careless and frivolous, but in reality, he is thorough and meticulous in his work. That annoying mouth of his often causes collaborators to lower their expectations, but when a crisis hits, they'll see a powerful, unbreakable protector emerge.

Mindy: Ran a scrap shop in the Luxelos slums before joining the Darkseekers. Favorite pastime was to dive into trash heaps, rummaging for odds and ends to combine into outlandish inventions. Growing up poor made her extremely stingy with money, so she's all about the hustle and making money. When she sees an opportunity to make big money, she latches on and doesn't let go. While sociable in most situations, she goes off like a boiling kettle if someone offers her the losing end of a deal. Lively, eccentric, and whip-smart, Mindy is full of quirky ideas that aren't the most thought-out or reliable, and her hijinks entertain and infuriate in equal measure.

EOS: Tsun part: Razor-sharp intellect, prodigious talent, loves the pursuit of truth. A genius in every sense of the word. Naturally intense and intimidating. Dere part: Lacks common sense. Dedicating her life to science has left her other life skills… lacking. She longs for a true friend, but cannot find one to match her intellect. Lonely. Does not condescend to others for their "ignorance". Other traits: Friendly. Can come off as intense, but does not hurt others intentionally. Science nut. Occasionally takes pictures, but only to analyze lighting and composition.

Kira: Seems slow on the uptake: remembering, walking, talking slower than others, but has unmatched focus. When playing games, she exhibits extraordinary reflexes and hand-eye coordination. Bullied for her heterochromia ever since she was little. Developed a fear of socializing and a weak personality. Does not have many friends. Even if someone wants to befriend her, they would quickly distance themselves to avoid being implicated. Has not spoken in person with others in a long time, so her speech is stuttered and slow. Extremely introverted, and extremely socially anxious. Unable to meet others' eyes or start a conversation with them. Does not have the ability to say no to anyone. Lacks confidence, and thinks that she has no positive traits (disregards her own gaming prowess).

Huxley: A beautiful, mysterious, and perceptive woman. Hard to read, but can easily read you. Always impeccably dressed, looking her best, with not a hair out of place. Regularly visits a salon (though it doubles as an intelligence apparatus), and presents the best side of herself to everyone at all times. Carries lipstick and perfume, even into battle. Displays her beauty to become the center of attention. Sharp-tongued and venomous to those she does not agree with. A bit of an emotional manipulator.

Fate Trigger

Player Comments of Fate Trigger:

Fate Trigger: The Novita is played in teams of four, combined into 25 teams for 100 players. Players can choose from 7 offered characters, divided into four roles (damage dealers (4) and one healer, scout, and shielder). Each one of them comes with a unique skill set and you can not have two of the same characters on the team. Eventually, you’ll all end up shooting anyway so it’s best to pick a character that works the best for you. The arena, or “Airena” as they call it, gradually shrinks over time thanks the effect named Pale Blight.

At first, I was underwhelmed with the kit options as most felt unfinished, which is normal for Alpha. However, this game definitely had a learning curve and by the third day, players were running around doing incredible things with Kira (the bunny girl who provides shields and can summon a tower). Personally, I found my calling with Camille, an android healer who can revive players from further away, while healing and providing security. Her ultimate felt unfinished but as the game has a few annoying mechanics that knock you out and you are unable to get up until your teammate helps, her powers came in quite handy.

As far as the damage dealers go, their kits were somewhat underwhelming. Ultimately, you don’t have much of a reason to use them and it can be difficult to pick the right moment. Huxley, the only scout, was pretty solid: her powers could detect enemies, and her ultimate made it difficult to see anything (for all teams).

Each match begins by choosing a landing point. This is a decent idea, but sometimes people don’t think things through as it’s easy to get killed without proper equipment. The first game you play is apparently always with bots and it’s quite easy to win. Before you start playing you have to choose a server. I ended up choosing North America because I figured it would mainly attract people who speak English. But, at certain points, it felt like they were mixing people from various locations as I’d often and up in games with people from China and Japan. My ping on average was displayed as 200ms, but I can’t say I experienced that much lag. One of the players mentioned it seemed like a visual glitch because he had a similar experience.

Regarding the players, the game allows you to voice chat with your teammates or players close to you. It’s kind of difficult to find people who use a microphone so you have to type. The in-game chat was on the left side, in the middle of the screen. It wasn’t that easy to follow as the font was tiny and it displayed all match updates along with the messages. There was no filter for profanity and although most players I met were nice and polite, a few needed a timeout (or a ban for good measure).

In my 20ish hours of gameplay I only encountered one player who was killing teammates but either running them over or shooting them. The game does have a report function but it was a bit difficult to find. Not sure if anything came out of the ban as I haven’t encountered them for the third time.

Speaking of running people over, the Fate Trigger: The Novita has two types of vehicles: a four-seater Lada-looking blue car and a sci-fi two-seater. Driving is smooth and you can even fly over cracks on the map, but you can also run people over (even if on the same team) and you can blow up other cars, which is kinda cool. You can even get cosmetics to personalize your ride and you can refuel the cars, but in my experience, they never last that long. The best feature: you can honk at others to get in. 10/10 right there.

Fate Trigger

Final Verdict:

Fate Trigger fits players who want squad focused firefights in a stylized sci fi world. Battles unfold across floating islands created by a cataclysm, so positioning and awareness matter throughout each match. You pick a distinct hero and coordinate with teammates to survive large lobbies while the story hints at deeper threats above the skies.
