First things first, the acting feels a bit hammy and uneven but somehow it becomes part of the appeal in a direct to video movie kind of way.

With that out of the way I also have to point out that while some effects may look a bit fake it's clear that the stunt team pulled out all the stops so the title doesn't fail to deliver plenty of action.

I won't get into details about the plot. It's a bit ridiculous but to be honest this comes with the territory.

After playing for about 90 minutes or so I've managed to unlock one ending out of four so I assume things could have played out differently. I will be replaying it to find out as for now I'm happy with the ending I got.

It took me a little while to get used to the controls (which have been reworked in a recent update) but I ended up having fun with it. The game is played with the mouse and the left click and there are different difficulty settings so I've found it pretty manageable.

I'm glad that there seems to be more interest for the FMV genre these days. The other titles I've played lately may focus a lot more on acting and production values but they usually don't offer as many locations and not as much action.

Hijacker Jack can feel quite quirky at times and it does look like it was made on a tight budget but it succeeds in being fun and if you're going to pick it up I feel it's important to adjust your expectations accordingly in order to enjoy what the game has to offer.
