Ode To Heroes is an idle role-playing game where players will journey alongside hundreds of unique legendary characters, battling enemies across different timelines. Players must strategically combine their heroes, balancing healing and defense to defeat foes, acquire abundant resources, and unlock new gameplay features. As the story progresses, players will unlock arenas, guilds, treasure hunts, and various dungeons, fighting alongside friends against powerful bosses and other guilds, and competing against other players on the leaderboards. The game supports an offline auto-play mechanism, allowing players to collect abundant resources even when away from the game, making the experience even more relaxed.

Highlights of Ode To Heroes:

Various PVE and PVP game modes: As a mobile RPG title, players can expect a bevy of different game modes to obtain items and equipment. Other than the main story campaign, there is the Secret Realm (PVE), Martial Meeting (1 vs 1 PVP), Valor Contest (cross-server PVP), Noticeboard Quests (PVE), Government Challenges (PVE), and the classic unlimited Sky Tower (PVE). As mentioned previously, all these features should set players back by just about 1 hour on a daily basis.

Upgrade equipment for more powerful versions: Rather than worrying about getting powerful drops to equip characters with, the system in Ode to Heroes allows players to merge similar equipment and advance to a more powerful one. Do be warned though, merging excessively might leave some of your characters with weaker equipment or at worst naked, so plan strategically when to use this system!

Other features we missed: Due to time limitation and some other factors, we were not able to showcase all features in Ode to Heroes. A few key ones we missed include Mythical Pet, Guild Boss, and team PVP. I guess it is for the best, as you can try these features out for yourselves in the game!

Roadmap of unlockable game systems: Being an idle game, Ode to Heroes pack a slew of features which will definitely keep players occupied. However, most of them are gradually unlocked as players grow stronger with their teams. Seen below is a progressive roadmap on when a system unlocks, pretty much similar to having an in-game content update whenever the required level is met.

Useful Tips of Ode To Heroes:

As a new player, always choose the newest server. Preferably opened that day. Otherwise you might get wrecked in PvP.

In most cases, focus on one hero is better than lvling up 6 heroes at the same time. Unlocking skills is very important for heroes, especially in day 1.

For almost all players(excl. narwhales), focusing on Guan Yu is your best bet in early game, because he's viable in every content(PvE&PvP), also very easy to get. Getting him to 10-star should be a priority.

3/4-stars are fodders. They're not viable in team, except maybe the first day(or in valor contest). You can lvl them up for day 1, and consume them as fodder. All the resources will come back.

If you're f2p, most 5-stars are also fodders. The only ones you should definitely save is t0 (heroes that cannot be obtained through 5-star fragments)(e.g.Da Qiao)

A t0 hero is only viable if you have at least 2 copies of it so it can get up to 8 stars. Otherwise it'll fall off quickly due to lvl cap and skill lvl difference.

At market, always buy meeting tokens(Jade), EXP pill(Jade&Coin)& promotion pill(Coin). Daily. Other purchase are optional and mostly depend on what event is currently on/upcoming.

Always refresh your noticeboard until you get 4star+ quests. It doesn't matter how much you spend, you'll get it back through the quests, or 7day-fun & monthly event.

Speaking of, you should always make sure to finish all monthly events. The meeting tokens you buy in market will come in handy. Hero promotion event will be your main coin income. 10star hero might be hard for first month though.

7day-fun is easily achievable, by spamming meeting tokens and refreshing noticeboard in the first few days. Limited sale on day 1,3,4,5 are worth it. 2,6,7 are not.

Save up resource if you know there's a relevant event coming *in the upcoming week*. Don't over stock your resource. Though you might be able to achieve 100 recruit in an event, you'll lose a lot of progress by doing that.

Empress Vault is usually a good bargain, except the equipment one. That one's for P2W to get a headstart in early game. 5-star fragment is also overpriced(in general), but go for it if you have excessive amount of jade.

Always go for the 40-jade guild trial. It's basically a daily value pack(compare to market), and it progresses for the whole guild, so win-win. Even the first day. (Single target &DoT heroes are very good at this mode btw, especially nie yinniang)

Player Comments of Ode To Heroes:

Its a fun game. Leveling up yourself or your characters aren't hard to do, and the players don't have to purchase any features in order to continue the game, unless a player wants those extra rewards. Some items are more difficult to obtain than others but its still relatively easy to get. The game smoothly buy it does consume the phones battery a bit quicker, however the player has the option to turn off the high frame rate in this situation.

Overall this is a nice game to kill time, but as you progress it kinda feels lacking some events that can spice things ups a bit like putting 1-2 random weekly events. and I hope you can put a way that we can finish the 9 daily missions in a single click, not everyone has the time to do that every single day and so that we can focus on other aspects(like upgrading our heroes, etc.).

Since recent update my game doesnt load. Open the app and it just keeps on the loading screen. Not even being able to log in. Original: Amazing! I really love AFK games like this. This game is very generous with amount of summons, leveling is fast, and collecting and completing daily quests doesn't take long at all. Within a few days I've already got a full 5star team. F2P is very generous and doable.

A great free to play game that does it right. There is of course paywalls that you hit but they also give you other things to do. And since they rotate these different game modes you end up with a huge amount of resources (because you keep collecting those items) when they rotate the mode back in. It's a great way to keep rewarding the player. The graphics are top notch and smooth and they are very generous with the main resource (shells) rewarding you with them for everything.
