Useful Tips of PokeMMO:

You can change the nickname of your Pokémon by opening the summary page and clicking the name box. You can change your Pokémons pokéball by opening the summary page and clicking the ball (this uses a ball from your inventory).

IV training is important and it costs about 15K for one perfect IV, 40K for 2 perfect IV, and roughly 1 million Yen for max perfect IV. Don't bother trying to breed max stats until you've cleared the elite four and can properly farm money etc. Breeding also consumes two Pokémon to give you one back in this game. So buy a ditto from the GTS, buy a Pokémon you want to use with decent stats and nature, then go to the daycare, there is a lady that sells power bands. Buy a power band matching your 31 IV ditto stat and then give it to the ditto. This guarantees you get that perfect IV stat given to the baby.

Berries are not the same in this game. They're a source of currency and can be crushed to make powder. There are various vendors that use this dust to make consumables for you. Buy harvesting tools from the GTS and then use these to extract seeds to grow. Berry bushes have a set timer to grow and then expire after a certain amount of hours depending on the bush.

You can buy most items from the GTS. The GTS in this game uses Yen (money). You buy and sell Pokémon for Yen. You should probably save up for EXP shares which are about 50K Yen each. This will speed up training by a ton. You can also get 1 EXP share per game via the story. The GTS requires 4 badges to use and can be accessed via the pokébox in a Pokémon centre

Gym leaders are far harder now and are custom tweaked to have very strong setups. The Pokémon are largely the same but IV and items are different, the first Pokémon used in battle is random each time, and the AI has been upgraded to be incredibly smart.

This applies to the elite four and to your rival as well. The rival in platinum has a PVP tier team that absolutely kicks your ass. You need proper strategy for fighting each of his pokemon. His Staravia uses a consumable item to allow a 1 turn fly attack and it is faster than almost all your pokemon. His Munchlax uses leftovers and is a wall meaning it thanks, use toxic and a tough pokémon to heal tank it while it dies. His Empoleon uses grass knot and will ruin your day. His entire team has moves like brick break which counter dark well and can one shot a lot of Pokémon. He also uses berries to weaken your Pokémons attacks.

The battle subway in black/white (Unova) isn't functional yet. I'd suggest starting in the Hoen region or Sinnoh region as you have access to the battle frontier which is very good endgame content. I know coop works in the Hoen battle frontier but am not sure about the Sinnoh version. I'd suggest platinum for the good mix of income and post-game content but be aware it is one of the hardest in terms of rival difficulty etc.

Pokémon above your badge level will instantly knock themselves out in battle if you try to use them. There is also a level limit. Every badge you own raises that limit. This limit prevents you from levelling a Pokémon above a specific level, but it stores up your XP earnt so you get it all when you next earn XP after you get the relevant badge.

FAQs of PokeMMO:

Why can't I delete my character?

Make sure you are typing the character's name and "CONFIRM DELETE" correctly as it shows on the screen.You can only delete up to 5 characters every 24 hours. If you reached this limit, you need to wait this timeframe to delete more characters, and this restriction cannot be removed in any circumstances.

Can I transfer my character to a different account?

It's not possible to transfer a character from one account to another, even if both accounts belong to you. No exceptions are offered to this.

I deleted a character on one account, why can't I use the same name on a different account?

Due to our Name Reservation system, which exists to discourage name trading.If you delete a character or use a Name Change Contract, we will reserve the name for the account where the name was for a period of 6 to 12 months.This means that during the minimum time of 6 months and maximum time of 12 months, the name will only be available to be used by a character in the same account the name was used before.If other players attempt to claim the name during this reservation period, it will show as unavailable for them. After the reservation time expires, it will be possible for other players to claim the name.

Can I request an account deletion to bypass the reservation?

No. If the account is deleted through a request in our support, the name reservation will still be in place.

Can I make a request on support so I don't have to wait to use my name on a different account?

No. No exceptions can be made for this process, regardless of the circumstances.

Are guilty players banned immediately?

While we can usually identify players who are cheating quickly, we don’t always ban players immediately after we’ve done so. This allows us to trace how money flows and effectively shut down real money trading rings.

Can innocent players be banned by accident?

Rarely, these automated processes can affect normal players. In these cases, players can make a ban appeal in our support, which will be reviewed by senior staff members.

Why am I getting captchas?

A common theme of bots is to park themselves in one area of the game, then Thief for a certain type of item forever, such as Heart Scales. Other times, they might use moves like Pay Day for extremely long periods.In these cases, an automated CAPTCHA may be issued to players farming for items or money after an excessive amount is gathered within a short period of time – For example, $250,000-worth of in-game items within a short period (1 day).
