While most levels have the same goal, a golden treasure, it can also give a green treasure which grants additional coins once the level is completed, or a page, which serves to unlock new maps.

There are a few micro-transactions in the game but everything can be unlocked by normal play. The player can choose to use real money on coins or Mystical Orbs, which grant the ability to reveal all puzzles in a level for an easy way out.

Each puzzle is viewed from above, making the board and its interactive pieces easy to read. Players drag out routes for Drake and tap objects to change the way forward. A rock might need to be shifted onto a weighted plank, while special stations can alter the available paths. Later stages add dangers such as dart traps, forcing more careful sequencing.

The basic controls are approachable, but the scoring system gives the puzzles staying power. Finishing a board earns coins and other prizes; completing it within the minimum number of moves also awards loot keys for treasure chests.

That requirement turns an acceptable solution into the beginning of a second challenge. A route that works may still contain one wasteful detour, and finding the cleaner answer is where Fortune Hunter becomes most satisfying.

This makes the game a good fit for Uncharted fans who want a lighter companion to the main series, as well as mobile puzzle players who have no attachment to Nathan Drake. Knowledge of the franchise isn’t needed to understand the boards.
