In Single again you play the role of Frank,  a widower and soon to be divorcee. The story begins with Frank moving back to the Loft he used to share with his first wife. A place he never wanted to go back to after her untimely death.  You lead Frank as he starts his life over again, soon he begins to find companionship and love in places he never expected to.You play the story through the eyes of Frank in a first person perspective.  If you have played a visual novel before you already know the deal. If not, basically you read for a bit and make choices every so often that affects the story in some way.  That's really about it.

The main character in Single Again is a middle aged dude called Frank and that is who we play as. Frank’s first wife passed away and he is recently divorced from his second wife! Frank is moving back to the home that he shared with his first wife and he is taking his adopted daughter and stepdaughters with him for the ride! Look, you can see where this is going, but this game does have a few surprises for you.

If you want a lewd game that is just straight to the XXX content then Single Again may not be for you. This is more of a slower burn kind of story, but I mean that in the most complimentary way. You feel like you get to know the cast of characters here much well and the daddy/daughter thing that is going to be going down is not as creepy as it is in other games and has a kind of more “organic” thing about it. So far, the chapters that I have played have been very well written and entertaining.

As I said in the intro, Single Again is a lewd visual novel and I think that the way the developer has gone about things here is great. Rather than just giving us a ton of choices to make for the sake of doing so that ultimately do not matter. You get to make fewer, but more important choices throughout the game that feel like they matter a great deal. I much prefer this, especially when the story and the characters are as well written as they are here. It really does make you pay much closer attention to the story and the stuff that the characters are saying and doing.

I know that I described Single Again as a slow burn, but when the lewd content does start, it is awesome! The XXX content here is all animated and the animation is near perfect. The ways that things bounce and jiggle is a ton of fun and gives the sex scenes so much more personality. There is a relatively small cast of characters in the game so far, but the character renders are fantastic and I cannot think of anyone in the game that I did not like the look of. To be fair, the rate at which the lewd content is dished out is very fair.

Summary:

Single Again - a visual novel introducing gamers to the twists and turns in the life of the main character and their consequences for those around him. He is a widower and divorced from his second wife. Because of which he is forced to return to the apartment where he lived before the long-ago tragedy. Nice and successful, he immediately attracts the attention of local girls, which draws him into a whirlpool of new events, decisions and difficult choices. With which the players will help him decide. Although in this project they will not have particularly broad freedoms in guiding the ward on the path that interests them. But still, they will not be weak-willed witnesses.
