Lordling of Hearts

Lordling of Hearts is a story-driven text adventure game where you play as an Mage who was once a hopelessly incompetent lord facing various crises. But after being possessed, a wondrous adventure begins. You must make various sound decisions to win the support of your people and trigger different story branches. These decisions may lead to a more tragic ending, or they may lead to reforms in your territory, allowing you to shed your incompetent label. As the game progresses, you'll unlock exciting animated scenes and acquire more interesting skills. These skills can help you heal and even increase your partner's chances of pregnancy, thus ensuring the continuation of your territory's lineage.

Player Comments of Lordling of Hearts:

It's normally bad to rate a game on potential. It artificially inflates the ratings of games that often aren't good and/or get abandoned by developers. Though given that this is by the same developer of Rogschard I will make an exception cause I know they can make good games.The adaption from HTML to Godot is really well done. The UI is very similar in design to Rogschard and only really differs in the artwork and minor functionality changes (different engines with different ways of programming after all, the code can't be ported 1 for 1. Plus being an early release without all the issues ironed out). The map keeps the same grid movement as well, but with actual graphics rather than icons. To add onto this the inclusion of animation just makes this feel like Nranchs has improved their skills a lot since the days of Rogschard. None of this uses BDCC as a base as well, which is nice.That being said, there's still a long way to go. If planning on playing this game at the time of this being posted don't expect a whole lot. It's still in the early builds after all. On top of that character customization isn't as expressive as Rogschard, with less races to choose of. And in terms of gameplay, it seems that this is gonna be using the map fight design that later Rogschard releases experimented with rather than the older fighting mechanics where you directly entered combat with the enemy.

I actually quite like this game, The overworld map is rather charming and I quite like the setting and the story, but I wish that combat and inventory navigation were relegated to buttons instead of menus. As it stands right now combat is a lot of menu navigation, but that, in my opinion, is a minor issue.

The game has potential.I like that there is an emphasis on impregnation mechanics right from the start.The gameplay is made more tedious by the menus constantly closing, but I am hopeful this will be improved at some point, this is still an early version.

help -> Displays all cheatcodes (including debug ones).

help [cheatcode_id] -> Displays help information on a given cheatcode. Example: ‘help give_item’.

time -> Displays the current in-game time in ticks.

list_items -> List all item names and their item_ids.

give_item [item_id] [amount] -> Give you an amount of the item with id item_id. item_ids can be found with the cheatcode list_items. Example: ‘give_item stick 5’.

give_all_items -> Gives you 1 of each item (excluding some key items).

list_stats -> List all stat names and their stat_ids.

get_stat [stat_id] -> Get the value of the stat for the player character. stat_ids can be found with the list_stats cheatcode.

give_stat [stat_id] [amount] -> Give you an amount of the stat with id stat_id. stat_ids can be found with the list_stats cheatcode. Example: ‘give_stat guilders 100’.

current_location -> Displays the current player tile position.
