To find food, it must daily evade predators like soft lizards and vultures in a dangerous environment, while also enduring the inevitable natural disaster—the unknown rain that terrifies all living things.

Occasionally, the game will feature torrential rain that floods entire cities. During lulls in the downpours, you must evade predators such as lizards, vultures, cat-eating plants, centipedes, tarantulas, and leggy creatures, while searching for food to store energy. Find shelter to hibernate before the next storm arrives, or accumulate "karma" by surviving, ultimately crossing "Karma Gates" connecting different areas to reach new environments.

Outstanding Performance

Rain World also includes five additional characters, five different evolutionary forms of slugs. Each slug has unique skills, style, and backstory. Exploring each main character will provide a completely new gameplay experience.

Five evolved slug forms exist, including the Stream Slug, which can jump higher and run faster but is less resistant to rain; the Gourmet, who can create dishes that enhance their abilities but is slow and inactive; the Craftsman, who can blow up enemies and turn rocks into grenades but has a huge appetite and is prone to starvation; the Spear Master, who possesses powerful weapons but has a very low food intake and therefore takes a long time to recover stamina; and the Saint, who can fly but must be careful as they are very fragile.

In Rain World, the primary modes of movement are stealth, crawling, climbing, and, in certain situations, dashing. You must constantly switch between these forms to master the ecosystem and defend against predators.
