Story:

Daiya once lived as an adventurer in another world. While hunting monsters, she was attacked by a vicious one. Trying to return to her town using teleportation magic, she was hindered by the monster and accidentally transported to a "different world." That place was Japan — Daiya and the monster ended up in the neon-lit Kabukicho. She met a Chinese girl named Kobeni, who was living illegally. Invited to Kobeni's home, Daiya began her life in Kabukicho. Can she defeat the monsters lurking in the bustling streets and return to her original world!?

The setting is Tokyo in the 1990s. It was an era when the city was overflowing with illegal immigrants, regardless of nationality, and the shadows of the underworld were beginning to grow. At the heart of this was Kabukicho, a place symbolizing poor public safety. There is no magic power. However, this city, swirling with desires, was filled with an evil energy that activated the monsters. —The city that never sleeps, the "Sleepless Castle." Kabukicho had become a dark world overrun by monsters! Find the monsters that came from another world before the citizens are completely dominated by lust!

Exploration: Navigate Kabukicho’s streets, help those in need, and clear out Yakuza, provided you have enough Mana. Mana is restored through eating various foods, some of which offer upgrades.

Part-Time Jobs: Take on different jobs to earn money and progress. Certain jobs require a valid ID card, which can be purchased to improve job opportunities. You might also face police checks, making a fake ID useful.

Local Cuisine: Sample Japanese foods to restore Mana and boost abilities. Dining out also allows you to invite friends, who offer valuable tips as your relationships deepen.

Erotic Scenes: Participate in explicit encounters and navigate pleasure corruption. Losing to Yakuza or the Chinese triads results in increased corruption and assault.

First of, let me say I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled due to negative reviews this got.Second, this was supposed to be a mini game BBQ wrote in between main releases, that being said taking around 10h (or less) and with a satisfying amount of content, the game is way better than most average full releases we see around.Now as for why I enjoyed and highly rated the actual game, its set in modern day Japan, with places and references from actual places in Tokyo and some peeking in its subculture, besides it also having a gazillion food dishes and recipes that defy the most elaborate cooking simulators. Its quite obvious this was testament from when the author was living in that area of Japan, and how much food was part of it. So being someone also interested in modern day Japan and looking to move to exact area of Tokyo, this context is very good to me.The gameplay loop is also quite chill, if not a bit hard to get money at first, but easy later if take advantage of all the features the game gives you. The format of the story was pretty good to, you have protected virginity until the very last part of the game, where it literally "climaxes", but even before then you can enjoy quite a lot of teasing and some peak butt-slut-virgin content. So the pacing itself is quite good.Art is as usual great from Nebel's artist, however due to this artist being unavailable they had to hire a third party artist to do the standing portraits, so we have some graphic inconsistencies which can be distracting, imo the biggest minus of this game but not that big a deal.Also worth mentioning I've played this in japanese way before the western release, but soon looking forward to replay it again in english.

Dropped into the Modern World is an RPG game that puts you in the shoes of Daiya, a young adventurer who, due to an oversight using her teleportation magic, ends up in the modern world with no way to return to her original world. In order to adapt to this new life and at the same time find a way to return to her world, she begins to explore the city and has part-time jobs, some typical ones such as in construction, cleaning or others more spicy in the red light district. This game offers the typical experience of a heroine corrupted by circumstances, with constant sexual events where she is harassed and groped, until she finally succumbs to lust and turns to the profession of prostitution.The art of the game is pretty good, having a very detailed anime drawing style and a quite sexualized protagonist with different suggestive outfits for the player's enjoyment. The sex scenes are not included by default in the title, so it is necessary to apply an external patch, once this is done you can enjoy a wide variety of uncensored still sex scenes, which do not have a very long duration, but have some sound effects to make them more enjoyable.
