Kingdom Rush Frontiers is a popular strategy tower defense game featuring dozens of levels of varying difficulty. Players must strategically deploy various defensive towers in key locations based on the terrain, utilizing limited starting funds. Each tower has a different attack range, attack power, and attributes, requiring careful planning for victory. As the game progresses, players can unlock heroes and upgrade new towers. Each upgrade increases the attributes of both towers and heroes, providing a greater advantage in each level. The game offers three difficulty levels; while the number of enemy waves doesn't increase with difficulty, the variety and number of enemies will continuously rise, providing a greater challenge.

Gmaeplay of Kingdom Rush Frontiers:

Game-play in Frontiers is no different to Kingdom Rush, allowing players of the previous game to fly straight into playing without needing to familiarize themselves with the set up. The game still includes the same tutorials and explains how things work clearly, so new players can learn quickly.

Starting a new game, first offers you a choice of difficulty. Casual, Normal and Veteran. The difficulty changes the Hit Points (or HP) of the enemies. The difficulty level can also be changed individually on each level. Each level is represented on a map of the Frontiers, which are briefed with a basic idea of what to expect before you can begin the level. There are three types of game modes. The default and main mode is Campaign, the story mode of the game. After this mode has been beaten with a 3-star rating, two new modes are unlocked; Heroic and Iron. These new modes offer different types of challenges, by changing the waves, enemies or towers available.

A completed level is awarded stars based on how successfully it has been played. The number of lives remaining determines how many stars are awarded, with three for almost none (18-20 lives remaining), two for an average play (17-6 remaining) and one for poor play (5-1 remaining). Failing to keep any lives will result in defeat. Both Heroic and Iron modes have only 1 life, and beating the modes award 1 star each.

Stars can then be used on Upgrades . Each upgrade requires between 1 and 4 stars and have a permanent effect on towers and spells. Upgrades can be bought and reset at any point during the game, allowing you to pick and choose the best upgrades for each level until you have enough Stars to buy all of them.

An in-game encyclopedia records all new information as it is revealed in the game, such as tower and enemy statistics. It also has several basic Tips and Tricks and a link to Strategy Guides provided by Ironhide Studios themselves (videos of the levels being completed).

For the 10th Anniversary of the game, a Challenges feature was added to the Mobile version of the game, allowing players to create their own custom challenges to share to other players.

Keep in mind that this game is supposed to be hard. The roguelike progression elements mean that you are supposed to lose a few times as you get better. Good thing the game rewards you handsomely with amazing new characters as you progress throughout your adventures.

Every adventure is different. The various events, combat encounters, and map visuals change every time you start a new adventure. Focus on making the most of every attempt and learning the game’s fundamentals instead of trying to memorize how to beat a particular challenge.

You can check the enemy tooltips in the initiative bar for more information on their stats and skills. You will probably be doing this a lot at first, but once you get to know your enemies, you’ll achieve a state of zen and fly through fights.

You will face uneven odds regularly, so pay attention to the different map events and carefully consider your options. LKR is all about situational choices. What worked for you on the last adventure may not on this one... or it might, so pay attention.

In addition to unlocking skills, promoting your heroes during an adventure also improves their stats and heals them. Choosing which hero to level up sometimes depends on who needs the XP more and not who you think might be stronger.

Be on the lookout for merchants and upgrade vendors. They will provide you with damage and armour boosts. You can use these upgrades to improve one of your heroes' weaknesses or to boost their strengths. For example, increasing the attack damage of a hero that deals area damage can wreak havoc among enemy lines.

This Kingdom Rush sequel is packed with new content that adds different strategy to the first game! The environments in this game are very immersive, but there are a lot less levels to play compared to the other KR games. However, the updated levels are absolutely amazing and have cool enemies and tough challenges! This game is a great sequel to Kingdom Rush!

Kingdom rush is one of the best tower defense games I have come across. I love the challenge of playing on veteran difficulty and trying to figure out a strategy to beat the tough levels but beginners could have fun too on easier game modes. I love how you get to choose which upgrade path to choose for each tower, based on preference of what suits the level.

Nail biting difficulty, handicap levels and a deep skill level. I have loved this game ever since I found it on websites like armor games and kongregate. This is the formula the modern games should have been based on, and it is such a shame to see they have moved on from it, to prioritize capitalism and degrade quality.

The Kingdom Rush games are always fantastic and well worth the few dollars to buy the base game. The best part is that the game is perfectly playable without paying for anything beyond the initial cost. Options exost for micro transactions, but they are purely optional and do not effect the game. picking up one or two to support the game crestors isnt a bad idea and a thing id encourage, but that is all.
