ReFactory is a sandbox strategy game where players take on the role of an AI-controlled spaceship stranded on an alien planet. Players collect various resources such as copper, iron, and wood to build automated production lines that continuously generate materials and items, gradually constructing their modern fortress. During construction, players will face numerous challenges and difficulties, such as power transmission, waste material recycling, and economic issues. ReFactory is a sandbox-style strategy game set on a strange planet. Playing as the ship’s artificial intelligence, you’re tasked with building an automated industrial city, locating the missing crew, and gathering the materials needed to get everyone home.

Automated workers (drones) can run production lines for you, but you can also micromanage every process if you prefer.

Design and expand factories, moving from simple assemblies to intricate devices and buildings.

Research new technologies to unlock advanced components and open up fresh areas for expansion.

What you’ll harvest: Oil and granite for heavy construction and fuel.Crystals and timber for crafting and structural materials.Iron ore and copper for electrical components and basic manufacturing.

Defending your settlement: Powerful turrets can be deployed to repel hostile creatures.Fortified walls and barriers help protect key infrastructure.Traps and mines can be used to slow or eliminate waves of attackers.

Finally, Transport!For quite a long time, players asked us to solve the problem of pulling the conveyor belts beyond the horizon, hundreds of kilometers from the base to the source of the required resource. We’ve come up with a thoroughly prepared solution — Transport in ReFactory.

A brief update on it:

New techs and resources related to Transport have appeared;

Our vehicle is a Truck. It can be made at the Auto Plant;

Trucks carry resources between two Cargo Stations at any distance.You don’t have to pull conveyors to remote parts of the map anymore;

Trucks pass through any obstacle: wood, rocks, crystals or any building. Except for lakes: they can’t dive or swim.

There are two types of Cargo Stations: Small (x1) and Large (x4). You must have at least two stations to organize the transportation system. Or more, if necessary.

To transport the resource, you need to organize its delivery to the Cargo Station, as well as to build Containers in the receiving station.

There is a Building yard nearby when deploying the Cargo station. It makes building in remote areas quicker and more convenient.

Holiday gift for mobile players: On New Year’s, users of mobile versions that have only the demo-version of the first mission will have the second unlocked.

Player Comments of ReFactory:

This game is solid for the most part. Ive come across no glaring glitches or game systems that fail to operate as one would expect. (and smoothly). If you have played Mindustry or Factorio not much new here. However, there is one particularly significant difference I find very positive. One does not have to 'walk' around the planet to build structures and systems. The building system works like a classic RTS in that you select the structure you wish to build. Select where to build on the map, and 'drones' gather the needed resources from your storage and assemble the structure.On the 'negative' side. Many production structures have fixed directional conveyor belts running through them and out of them. One can rotate the buildings but cannot change the direction of the belts. This does create problems deciding where to place structures, and figuring out how to get needed materials to 'in' belt. Some buildings can also be 'reversed' as well as 'rotated', but still. This issue does make the placement of structures and the placement of belts to feed materials to said structures, a real 'pain in the A$$' in many cases.In general, game is very enjoyable. Graphics, Audio, and Animations are all solid for the type and price of the game.

I like the game. I has promise "how many times have I said that only to see devs quit" The constant alien attacks make have the game mechanics unusable. there are setting but I can't beat the last campaign. I still got my monies worth though. This game needs mods. there are some great things here but it just makes me want to go play that other game.

This game may not be as great as Factorio or Dyson Sphere, but it's still enjoyable and has good replay value. Moreover, this game has a lot of potential for further expansion. As it is, it's a solid game that will keep you occupied for dozens of hours if you're into automation type of games. The campaign gets impossibly hard and is not as enjoyable. However, the other modes offer a better gameplay experience, especially the near-infinite map in sandbox mode. I'd recommend this game overall, especially at this decent price.
