This is the only game I play on my phone. I've tried lots of other games but this is the one I keep coming back to. I personally enjoy it and while it's possible to play this game 100% free, it is super heavy p2w which is why I'm hesitant to introduce this game to new players. I recommend playing it casually if you can but stay away if you have an addictive personality.

my wife divorced me because I had 10 million power, now you see she has 80 million power because she chose Rome when she started out and used it's gathering bonus to acquire resources and train troops. The roman infantry has a movement speed buff and a defense bonus. With this combo it's easy to steal from other players. During the mid game you can unlock techs and train advanced Roman legionary. With Commander Julius Caesar you'll conquer territories quickly. Within 3 days your power can surpass 5 million!

I've only played a few dozen hours here on Steam, but I've played every single day (literally) for almost a year on mobile.Like many other people have said, it's pay to win *HOWEVER*, here's the game changer.. Even if you don't spend much or any money, you can still progress because they un-restrict new kingdoms after a few months of opening (to give new players time to get power) and old players from older kingdoms can MIGRATE to the newer kingdoms...This means you can play free and just build yourself up and eventually you'll be allowed to move to newer kingdoms where YOU are the high power player.Also, many base-building games you have to use/buy shields.to protect yourself from high power players. However in this game they have a SHELTER in your base that lets you shelter a big amount of your troops for FREE for up to 12 hours at a time. You no longer have to worry about if you have enough shields.. The amount of troops you can shelter depends on the research you do and upgrading your heroes etc.f it wasn't for the Shelter feature and the option to migrate, I wouldn't have played this game longer than a week. (like most of the other base-building games i've played)
