Useful Tips of Mafia42:

At the start of a game, the first phase that will appear is the night phase. Nights and days will be numbered at the top-left corner of the screen. The most important phase in the game is Day 1, because it is during that time where players have the least amount of information and could set-up the whole tempo of the game.

Be sure to be active, you are allowed to take notes and memo, but if you're not participating in the discussion, you may be seen as a suspicious player. If you have "leads" (information or knowledge of a player's role) then be sure to reveal them. However, do not be reckless. Unless you found a mafia or mafia helper, then you should only reveal the role of the person you found if there is no Hit Man. We'll talk about Hit Man later.

As for the Mafias, try to sound like a reliable citizen. You can fake giving leads and even gain the trust of citizens by being a trustworthy person. You may even support your co-mafia and/or go against a suspicious citizen. Remember: your goal is to mislead and outnumber the citizens. If you can gain the trust of citizens enough so that they'll follow you, then you've already won.

There are also a few techniques you may implement into your play style to help you win games:

Counter-Claim or CC means to claim a role that another player has already claimed. Why would you want to claim the role of another player? Well once again, as a Mafia, you have to mislead and misdirect players. And as a citizen, if you see someone claim your role they are highly likely to be a mafia.

Support/Go Against, if you have leads of a player's role, you should probably say something about it. If you know someone is on the same team as you, you may "support" them by saying they are clear or safe. Likewise, if you find someone on a different team, you may "go against" them to get them lynched out.

Co-Framing is a technique only viable for Mafias. If you see that your co-mafia is already becoming suspicious to the other citizens, it may be better to go against your co-maf rather than support them. Why? Well, if everyone thinks that your co-maf is a mafia, and you're trying to defend them, that makes you look suspicious as well. This doesn't mean you have to co-frame all the time. If the person going against your co-mafia sounds suspicious to the others, then it may be better to support your co-maf rather than go against them to get the suspicious player voted off. Likewise, if your co-maf does end up co-framing you, you shouldn't get too salty about it. The goal is to equal the number of citizens and if one of you has a higher chance of survival then you might as well take one for the team.

Giving it a 5 star since I am leaving this game for good. Honestly it was an addictive game and was taking quite a toll on my mental health and studies. But the ban till 2038 finally helped me leave this game. (btw this ban was some hacker issue so it doesn't matter.) do try it.

I think we need a better tutorial when we first begin. I feel like it was confusing when you try to navigate the app after the tutorial. At first when you first start the game, it's honestly scary! But you eventually will get the hang of it. Mostly, your experience in the game is with the people you play with. Other than that, it's a 10/10 game. The art is amazing, and the timing is well done.

this is a Michelin star, I could literally find this addictively,u could make friends but mostly I made enemies quite often, it's like ur in a new world where anything can happen(literally everything), although lots are creeps but we dealt with it by reporting or kicking them from the rooms plus the events are so great but sometimes malfunctioning,lots are rage baiter like every personality is on m42 so u can literally know every different behaviors, typically meant to be for me.

It's an amazing game overall, but in the recent update I am unable to play the event I keep on coming back to the log screen even though my internet connection is fine, I also experience lagging when I'm playing I thought I was the only one lagging but other players mentioned they were lagging too, I disconnected in mid games and sometimes the game crashes. I don't know if something's wrong with my phone or if it's the new update, I hope it gets fixed soon.

What is the difference between a Normal and Ranked game?

In Normal games, the win/loss of a game is recorded but there is no change in Rank Points. In Ranked games, the win/loss of a game is recorded and it affects your Rank Points(an objective index of proficiency). A loss lowers your RP and a win makes your RP higher. Ranked games can be played by users who are Lv.20 and up.

How do I get an icon?

In Mafia42, there are hidden missions apart from the game. Each mission has a different condition, and an icon is rewarded if you fulfill its conditions. Icons are located in your profile and you can set your main icon. The conditions to acquire an icon are secret, so you must find them on your own.

How do I access the store and what can I buy from it?

The store is the second button on the upper right corner of the game screen. You can buy general game items, nameplates, skins, gems and Lunas from the store. In the store, there is also a Refinement Center in which you can enhance gems. Lunas must be additionally bought from the store.

What is the difference between Rubles and Lunas?

Rubles can be earned by playing games or completing daily quests. Lunas are a form of paid currency which can be bought at the store.

I can't receive the reward for the daily quest?

The daily quest reward can only be received on one account. If you have already received the reward on another account, you do not receive a reward even if you have fulfilled the quest conditions. Only one account can receive a reward per day.Please also note that quests that have in-game requirements are only completed when the conditions are met in rooms with at least 8 people.
