Grab early weapons around Grove Street: You do not need money to arm CJ early. A free pistol spawns behind the second house north of Sweet's place on Grove Street, so grab it on your first walk around the block. The bigger payoff is the 100 spray tags across rival Los Santos turf: paint over all of them and four weapons permanently respawn in the Johnson house kitchen, an AK-47, a Sawn-Off Shotgun, Molotov Cocktails, and a TEC-9. That is a full early loadout for free.

Learn how respect works: Respect is San Andreas's social stat, and it governs how big your crew can get. You earn it by completing missions and by taking enemy territory. One of few games when I think about when considering "the best game of all times". While San Andreas doesn't really steal this title to me, it feels so complete, so fully realised its almost too good to be true. Rarely you will enconuter game that not only does so much but does it all well.
