Introduction
TBH is an idle RPG that offers a high degree of freedom. You can choose your own class and skill combinations to embark on an adventure, battling various monsters and enemies along the way. There’s no need for manual input—your heroes fight automatically, earning you abundant rewards to develop your favorite characters and gear. The game features multiple chapters and difficulty levels, each presenting unique enemies to challenge you; as the difficulty increases, the monsters’ attributes scale up, making the gameplay more demanding. As you spend more time in the game, you will also unlock a variety of achievements, which you can display on your profile to earn likes from other players.
Gameplay of TBH:
The core systems in TBH center on a few key interactions:
Heroes automatically adventure across the taskbar
Journeys generate reward chests over time
Chests contain gear that upgrades hero stats
Stronger gear enables harder or longer adventures
Progression is visible and passive, running in the background
This idle RPG structure means the game does not demand constant attention. You can run it alongside other applications and check back in when chests are ready to open. The platformer element comes from watching the heroes physically move and interact across the taskbar space, giving the progression a visual life that pure idle games often lack.

Features of TBH:
Taskbar-Based Gameplay: Runs in a small desktop window without dominating the screen.
Automatic Combat: Heroes continuously attack enemies, gain experience, and collect rewards.
Three-Hero Parties: Combine complementary classes to balance defense, damage, and support.
Multiple Character Classes: Choose from Knight, Ranger, Sorcerer, Priest, Hunter, and Slayer.
Equipment System: Find weapons, armor, accessories, and items across numerous rarity levels.
Cube System: Add, modify, synthesize, and customize equipment properties.
Rune Tree: Unlock permanent bonuses through a large account-wide progression system.
Build Customization: Combine classes, equipment, skills, pets, and passive bonuses.
Multiple Acts: Progress through three Acts and four difficulty tiers containing varied monsters.

Useful Tips of TBH:
Prioritize Money Early: Money is the central driving force in TBH. Without money, you can't unlock additional Runes that your party uses as passives to earn more experience points, do more damage, or for you to collect additional chests. Of all the upgrades you can get, anything surrounding money is extremely important. You'll want to make sure you're increasing these Runes as often as possible, especially early. As your characters get closer to levels 15 or so, that's a good time to pivot and start making the additional EXP Runes another worthwhile option, as you need to become stronger to proceed to more difficult locations. It's a delicate balance that you have to walk between these two Runes.
Unlock Party Members: Party Members are another thing you want to get early on. You can have up to three members in your formation, but realistically, you'll be unlocking the second one far earlier than the third, as the first party upgrade only costs 10,000, but the second to add the third members costs 150,000. We don't recommend saving up for this, as there are other Runes that are far more important. You can find the party upgrades rune in the bottom section of the Rune tree, called Rune of Command. You can buy it after you get the Rune of Growth purchase, and it's one we recommend getting as fast as possible. This way, you'll have two party members gradually leveling up together, allowing you to fight even tougher foes and earn more money and chest rolls.
Level Up the Cube: The Cube is another helpful feature you can find alongside the Runes page. With the Cube, you'll be using the Synthesis page on any gear that your party members won't be using and upgrading them into stronger equipment. At first, you only have the Synthesis page, where you're turning nine pieces of the same item rarity into one better one. Then you'll unlock more pages along the way, such as the Alchemy, Crafting, Decoration, and Engraving pages. You do have to level up the Cube by using it, which means the more chests and items you collect on your journey, the more opportunities you have to get better equipment. Regularly keeping up with the Cube doesn't take long, and you can return to this activity every few hours, rather than treat it like something that you're actively micromanaging.
Expand Stash and Inventory: A large part of TBH is unlocking equipment and item pieces as you defeat hordes of monsters. All of these items have to go somewhere, and eventually, you're going to see that you're running out of space. You'll want to take every opportunity that you can to expand your Stash and Inventory, with your Stash being the rarest upgrades. The first Stash upgrade Rune is in the top section, called the Rune of Storage. You can also choose to use real-world money to purchase three additional Stash pages from the TBH store on Steam. We only recommend this if you plan to pay TBH for an extended period of time.

Player Comments of TBH:
I never played an idle game before and saw this release and catch some attention bc of the steam market money making aspect. Leading into Jul, I saw the announcement for server compensation that gives all players ~10 commemorative coin items each day for a week and decided to start bc that would really help reduce grind time since they can be offered for random, and usually higher rarity, items. In general I like RPGs and strategy, so this essentially boiled down to solving a puzzle of what stats, skill point allocations, gears, affixes, or party composition I need at the time to progress further past whatever was causing a problem in the current stage. I encountered multiple "walls" related to this where I tried different things and eventually looked up what other ppl try too. For example, changing focus from high defense and healing to more offense and life leech and AOE - ie. do more dmg to kill fast to take less dmg. Eventually, I could only beat the final Torment 3-3 onwards while being under-levelled at 86 or so by using solo ranger to wipe everything before they could get in range to attack. Although I don't think this game was very good and had a lot of problems with balance, I tried it on a whim to broaden my experience including steam market trading. I made a trivial $1 CAD over this time, but that's not really the point. I will definitely remember the different strategies and compositions I tried out when I play other RPGs and similar games. For instance, from playing bits of isometric ARPGs like Diablo 4, Path of Exile (2), and Last Epoch I learned about the importance of raising resistance values besides defense/armor stats to properly cover elemental aspects, but this also drove home its importance where there was multiple "walls" related to AOE elementals or chaos specific big shots in the stage's waves.
My play experience: Started Knight, then Ranger and Sorcerer. Around Lv20s, swapped Sorc for Priest and levelled her instead. Later, swapped Priest as tank for Knight and brought Sorc back when stuck on a level and did damage absorption via Priest instead of Knight tank (around Lv30/40s probably). Proceeding through nearly the whole game (in all its difficulties) until Torment 3-3 when I switched to Solo Ranger other than Torment 3-10 Act boss. Started Jul 1 and played until Jul 12, with 2 full AFK days and I didn't know about offline mode until much later at the end. Got all achievements except 4: Cosmic and Divine gear obtained (not droppable, must be cubed ie. crafted or synthesized), obsession 100 inscriptions on one item (and scrolls used to do this are super rare - I only saw 2 total and they were at the end of my play time), perfectionist (requires Celestial+ gear in all 10 gear slots incl accessories with 2 decorations + 2 engravings + 2 inscriptions on each - tho not sure of party size req for this). I wasn't grinding out this game anymore, and only plan on coming back to sell some more of my stuff before uninstalling.
Ultimately, I would not be recommending it to anyone even if you could "just leave it open and check later as you do other things" bc there was a surprisingly large amount of interaction required and knowledge checks at time unless you wanted to take much much longer overlevelling to pass walls instead of solving the puzzle problem presented by it. They did have some fan service baked in for the female class character art, but overall had enjoyable pixel art and aesthetics without many bugs from my play experience 1.5-2mo after release.
Final words:
TBH offers a charming and minimalist idle RPG experience directly accessible from your taskbar, making it a perfect companion for those looking to blend casual gameplay with productivity. Players control adorable pixel heroes from various classes, each with unique skills and customizable builds, fighting enemies automatically while you engage in other tasks.
