While I love this game and the art is great it has some pretty glaring issues story wise that prevent me from giving it five stars.1. The two main characters essentially have no agency as of yet in the main story line, they simply stumble from person to person that forces them to do something for them, for some reason any of their ability to do anything for themselves is instantly ripped away when the main story is involved. Well, I say for some reason but it's actually due to the second fault of the game.2. The main characters are functionally retarded and it's even pointed out by characters in the game. The FIRST thing they do upon getting back to the city and finding out they have essentially superpowers now is walk out into the middle of the fucking desert and turn into monsters. All of this whilst knowing they're under suspicion due to reappearing in the city in a week after their entire platoon was killed, just because they had one convo with the emperor they seem to think they're in the clear. Nyx actively points this out and they still go around jumping into every engagement and revealing their form to just about everyone except the people they should actually talk to it about. SHIT THEIR MOTHER/FAMILY FRIEND EVEN FINDS OUT AND THEY STILL GO "Huh, maybe I should ask about that later" BUT THE DEVS IGNORE THAT TO CONTINUE THE STORY. This absolute insane level of brain deadness is what leads to them being pushed around and threatened by all of the people in power who know about it, which is just about everyone because they can't keep a fucking secret. Oh my god they even let you go to the church to get help. THE FUCKING CHURCH?All of this leads into my final issue which is really apart of the agency issue, they don't complain enough, Kiara, who they thought was dead just reappears and you can refuse sex with her the first because SHE WAS FUCKING DEAD TWO SECONDS AGO but then later on she appears in your bedroom, says you're fated to be together and you're forced to get together.Markus is one of the whiniest most annoying assholes of all time and yet he complains for two seconds when forced into the situation in hamon and then gives up after one threat, at least from what I've seen so far. See they capped the arena fights as one per day and I hate making the mc just stand around so it's taking me a bit to get through those, if they suddenly start to voice their opinions more then I'll update this.All in all it's a good game but it's put itself into the category of porn games that have a good and long story, which means it needs to actually make use of it's characters, for example, The Last Sovereign is another example of a story where the main characters are woefully outgunned and a large portion of that game is the main character being a slave to a stronger one, but he doesn't just grit his teeth and grin. He makes use of the situation to improve himself, integrate himself with his captor and gain a loyal follower of it, all the while learning about the economic state of the kingdom he's in. The best part of it though? His followers don't disappear when they aren't in his viewpoint, they have their own goals and actively work towards them so they'll be ready when the mc comes back or so they can go bust him out. That's how you write someone being outgunned, except in this story the mc's are outgunned and the stupidest people in their entire country.

Although a bit early to rate, i think the base concept, art, and general vibe is pretty good with some minor tweaks.This is going to spoil a bit of the prologue/early game so scroll away now if you care-The lust parasite mechanic is wayyy too suffocating. What seems like a cool concept at first immediately just becomes a bother, which i guess is the point but it can defintely be handled better, and it doesn't help that the travel mechanic passes time very fast, which makes the lust fill faster. The fights there are also pretty difficult early game which might force you to use the parasite form which in turn moves the bar up even further. What should be a cool mechanic and a decent travel system turns into trying to pussy your way through the desert while trying to conserve your parasite uses as much as you can so you dont insta die. Speaking of which, if they dont change the system or remove it, there could atleast just be a drawback or instead of instantly game over, maybe your health decays until satiated. The current system just makes it so annoying to travel, forcing you to go watch a scene you've already seen before, and you'll probably continue to see many many more times to lower the bar again.I gave it five stars because it has alot of potential if the issue above and some other minor tweaks, and i feel its a bit too early to be too harsh on it.
