Project Dreadsteel is a casual game inspired by numerous classic mecha anime. Players are drawn into a supernatural world by KRI's invitation, encountering many girls who pilot mechas and becoming their captain to lead them against various monster invasions. Players need to manage their team members' training plans to improve their attributes. Since the team members have diverse personalities, players must balance their relationships and soothe their moods through daily interactions. You will experience various heartwarming daily moments, building deep emotional bonds and gradually unlocking intimate animations for each character. The game will continue to be updated, introducing more interesting game mechanics and alluring animations, so stay tuned!

Hey everyone! Fair amount of progress has been made these days!

Freeroam mode works, now I'm just missing sprite posing and logic in the training areas and living room, for now main characters will be available.

Nova, Kiiro and Kianga will be interactable during Freeroam, for now you can *talk* to them, later on I'll expand this even more. ("Talking will have responses depending on their mood and relationship status, I also have planned to "auto-talk" which would reduce the repeated clicking...)

Added the Simulation Room map.

Thanks to Godly MooN and Magic I've been able to tweak a bit more the lighting and some scenes.

Freeroam has a "Go To" which makes you fast-travel towards a main character.

Freeroam has a placeholder navigation.

Initial freeroam tests are good, just need to polish and add the necessary code.

I'm excited as I am getting closer! However this week I will be moving out so development will slow down a bit...

Of course testing and spriting will come next, I want this one to be good for your enjoyment!

Idk dude. Game seems mostly cool, but sandbox almost always makes shit worse. If you're set on doing it; I hope you make it quick and straightforward. I don't wanna be forced to use a guide or wander around randomly to progress, especially if event/story progression is linear.

A promising start with no real major flaws- though I do worry with how many stats are introduced that the dev might be setting themself an impossible task, I at least look forward to seeing whether or not they can pull it off. Character models are good for Koikatsu, writing is good, and I like the darker tone a lot. Here's hoping the project goes well.

Tried the game out of curiosity. Was initially hesitant due to the stated Dark feel of the setting, and the initial information about the STATs and backstories didn't exactly win me over.Then I actually go in depth with the content. The STATs are well integrated and make for a varied gameplay experience. I'll have to wait to see how combat actually plays out in a later update, but from my current feeling-the-elephant experience I think I'm going to like the gameplay loop for this game once it's in place.I tried the game three times with three different stat spread - starting job sets, and it was a pleasantly different experience each time. The combination of different dialogues passively generated by stats and backstories and different options presented for the player to select made each playthrough feel entirely new. I have concerns about how slow the game's development will be if they're writing this many different versions of each discussion, but it will be worth waiting for in my opinion.Character design wise it has a few issues, mostly due to Koikatsu's usual difficulties with rendering anyone who doesn't look like a fourteen year old Japanese person, but they've done what they could within that limitation. They even make a passable attempt at a middle-aged man without having to make him bald or hideous. The three Love Interests (or at least I assume all three are love interests, one does appear to be a small girl but that rarely stops Koikatsu games.) have varied designs and hit classic Anime style love interest niches, even as the game wears its influences on its sleeve. Given those influences, I look forwards to meeting the tsundere who is overly proud of her body and abilities.
