A fun, laid-back VN with a premise that hooks you right away. Your guy moves to a new city chasing a dream of making it as a rock star, and along the way, picks up relationships with a solid cast of women. Nothing groundbreaking story-wise, but it doesn't need to be. The setup is charming, and the game leans into it well.The renders are good, and the character models are a highlight, with the rock chick Lisa being a standout for me. Sex scenes are plentiful and well-animated.The game sensibly nudges you toward focusing on one relationship per playthrough rather than juggling everyone at once, which actually works in its favour. It gives each route its own identity and makes replaying feel worthwhile rather than a chore.It's not trying to be a deep emotional experience like some others in the genre, and that's fine. Sometimes you just want a breezy, enjoyable ride with good scenes and a likeable cast.

Become a Rock Star is a VN where the main story is relatively straightforward. There is a lot to love in this game but there are some minor things. In terms of appearance (how the LI looks, renders, animations etc) it's great and nothing seems dated, although the animations only improve as your get further into the story and the game was worked on more while it was still in development. Personally I followed a walkthrough and it did help me realize that unfortunately there's isn't a harem option in the game, but this can be a double-edged sword because it creates insensitive for you to replay it if you're curious to see and play out the different outcomes and pursue different LIs. As a note on the different LIs and characters in general, each of them have distinct and vibrant personalities, and backstories, that brings life to them, so you'll probably really want to replay the game a few times.On to what I didn't like, but again these are only minor things, as a highly fluent English speaker, some of the writing in the dialogue shows that it wasn't originally written in a naturally English structure. On to some irks about music, after a while you'll notice that there's only about 10 songs that are used throughout the whole game, and minimal use of sound effects, granted these are chosen very well for the game but minor spoilers, but not really (because it's in the game title) there isn't actually ever a original rock soundtrack for when the band plays.

This is an inspiring game, honestly the dev did a great job, the whole family and the characters the MC interacts with were well done, the story is incredible. It's difficult to find games with music and band themes; only a few do it, and this game lived up to expectations. You feel like a true rockstar.

Very refreshing novel. You believe out of the picture, that there will be a big harem story coming connected to the rock star theme. But you learn fast that life is also about commitments and that when you tell a lady you love her and want to be with her, it is no good idea to mess around. Not even thinking about a red head daughter and attractive mother, who wants to seduce you. So make up your choice, whom you want to be with - after so time exploring around. Quality of graphics and animation is very good. So enjoy.

Conclusion:

I absolutely loved playing this game despite its flaws. The writing issues and lackluster execution of the story weren't nearly enough to stop me from thoroughly enjoying the LIs and sidegirls that make this romp one worth doing multiple routes from. Characters may be a bit on the shallow side but each have their own unique charm and are either quite likeable or somewhat nuanced enough when you're not meant to like them (a few even have what might be considered very simplistic arcs - sadly the MC isn't really one of them). Figuring out the unintuitive routes/choices and how to proceed through them for each route is a bit of an enjoyable game in and of itself at times (even using a walkthrough). This is one of the rare games with multiple endings that I was interested enough in all the LIs to finish all the routes/endings for. It's also one of the few games where I found that the render quality and attention to visual detail could make up for other shortcomings as I find a lot of games lauded for their renders and attractive characters are often prone to having other issues too large for me to get past. For anyone that just wants a pretty basic story chock full of good times with plenty of very attractive females beautifully rendered, I highly recommend giving this a spin.
