Mortal Kombat: Onslaught has a very detailed stat system. Make sure you’re familiar with the terms!

Fighters have rarity: 3-stars are common, 4-stars are uncommon, 5-stars are rare. In general, the rarer a fighter, the better it will perform.

Each fighter has an Affinity (element). The weakness cycle goes Body -> Spirit -> Mind -> Body; Body is strong against Spirit; Spirit is strong against Mind.

Take note that attacking an Affinity you’re weak against also causes that fighter to deal less damage.

Each hero belongs to a class. Classes are a quick and easy way to distinguish fighters by combat role.

Each fighter has access to multiple abilities that they’ll use in a fight.

Abilities are divided into passive, automatic, and special abilities. Special abilities are akin to ultimates and must be unleashed manually.

Each fighter has access to seven gear slots, of which the relic is the most important. Don’t neglect the other slots though as the raw stat boosts can quickly add up.

Not a bad game, monetization like all these other games abusing the mobile space are money greedy for attention, slows the progression. As a game? If you cut all of it out, by itself, it's a solid game. I'd recommend it, especially if you're a fan of MK. I just think a multiplayer Shaolin monks style gameplay in the MK universe on mobile would do way better.All in all it wasn't enough to hold my interest personally. But I honestly don't have enough bad about it to ACTUALLY reduce the rating. The draw rates for main characters are actually extremely generous for a random draw lottery system game, and I had high tier Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Sub Zero, and Scorpion in no time.

TRULY perfect titles are going to be rid of lottery systems, and rid of tier systems. But no one is mature enough for that in the industry.The role-playing game Mortal Kombat : Onslaught (MKO) is not a typical or turn-based RPG. It is an idle role-playing game, meaning that you can only observe your characters as they play independently. Unfortunately, the combat moves slowly, but that's not a problem because "2x" speed is unlocked early.There are supermoves that you may manually activate to assist you in changing the gameplay, but it is the only Manual feature in it .The game features fully realized cinematics and MK11 voice work. It is obvious that this is a different chronology or an MKX-MK11 transition without Krokina.
