Driftborne is a casual game driven by story and player choices. Players take on the role of DriftBorne, hunted by assassins for centuries. To survive, players are forced to investigate the assassins' origins and become involved in the lives of eight women with distinct personalities. Players must make different choices in various story worlds and interact with other characters via their mobile phones, deepening their bonds. Your choices and the relationships you develop with different characters will determine the direction and ending of the story. Of course, during this time, players can engage in in-depth conversations with their favorite women and unlock various exciting animations.

Mechanics of DriftBorne:

Mechanically, DriftBorne plays like a modern, 3D-rendered visual novel built around carefully crafted story beats and branching dialogue trees. A typical session involves reading voiced and subtitled scenes, choosing responses at key moments, and occasionally interacting with the in-game phone or other contextual UI elements. The core gameplay loop can be summarized as: enter scene → absorb new information → make a choice → watch the consequences unfold → unlock new paths. Some choices are clearly marked as high-stakes crossroads; others appear minor but quietly adjust behind-the-scenes variables, building toward later payoffs such as unique CGs, alternate scenes, or different tonal shifts in character interactions. Because the game is adult-only and carries strong content descriptors for nudity, sexual content, and violence, you should expect some scenes to push into darker or more explicit territory—but always framed within the overarching narrative, rather than existing as disconnected vignettes.

DriftBorne v1.3 is now available.

This update pushes the story forward quite a bit and adds more interaction with certain characters. There are a few moments where your choices start to matter more, so I am curious how people approached them.

Have you watched "Highlander" ? I have too, as has the game's creator.I just finished build 1.3. Here's my review.After a few major disappointments with the RenPy games I've been playing recently, "Drifborne" is like a breeze on a hot day.I should start by describing WHAT this game actually is.It's an AVN written in renPy that tells the story of a guy with one unusual trait: he can't die.Cliché ? Not really – I can't think of any other title at the moment that uses this concept, maybe with the exception of games based on the manga and anime "Konosuba," but it's a completely different approach to the theme, light and fun.In "Driftborne," we have a decidedly heavier atmosphere and a darker story.This main MC feature is just the beginning, as the story takes place in the present day and – despite a few flashbacks to the distant and recent past – seems like a pretty solid crime story.

In fact, its only weak point is the idea of "inviting you to cooperate" in solving the mystery of serial killer. It doesn't really make sense, but ultimately, I can live with it, as it provides an opportunity to meet some pretty cool NPCs and hope for future interactions.The graphics are fairly typical for RenPy-based AVNs. It's certainly not a feature that distinguishes "D" from others, but honestly, it doesn't bother me in this case.Finally, the game's biggest "flaw"... its current length ;(The author DEFINITELY needs to speed up work on "Driftborne," as it's currently ranked 4th in my personal ranking of games with adult content.Final rating for the current build (1.3): 4+/5A good game. I can wholeheartedly recommend it !

Jamleng out with another banger, I don't understand from where people think he's using ai for writing, he's one of the most dedicated writer and game maker I know. Maybe I'm biased but LTA was a banger, one of the biggest games I played and this is going to be bigger than that or is planned to be. Just for the initial release you know the game is going places. A mix of a few genres, an immortal detective that's all I can say but I'm excited.

I haven't felt this excited to follow an AVN game in a long time; what an incredible game, at least from what's been shown so far. Interesting concept and plot twist, I really like this mystery and investigation aspect, the MC's cleverness also helps a lot, very analytical in various situations. And the characters are quite unique too, beautiful visuals.

Conclusion:

Navigate a captivating fantasy world filled with animated 3DCG scenes, engaging in various adult activities such as anal sex, oral sex, vaginal sex, handjobs, and more with the game's diverse female characters. Manage your protagonist's interactions, relationships, and desires while facing graphic violence and challenging decisions that shape his destiny.
