Phantyx

Phantyx is a player-driven casual game where players take on the role of an Minecrafter in a wondrous world where humans, demons, and ghosts coexist. After the mysterious disappearance of demons, players, as seasoned ghost hunters of Phantyx, will always be at the forefront of the hunt. Players will encounter characters with diverse personalities in various story worlds, making different choices to win their favor and advance the plot. Will you become more ruthless because of hunting ghosts, or will you develop new feelings? As the game progresses, players can have deeper interactions with their favorite ladies, unlocking a series of intimate animations. The game is also continuously updated, with more romanceable ladies being added, so stay tuned!

Story of Phantyx:

Humans and demons have shared this world for as long as anyone can remember. Their coexistence has been anything but peaceful, and many bloody wars have been fought. Then, suddenly, the demons disappeared.

It looked like everything was slowly returning to normal.

Then the ghosts appeared.

That's why Phantyx was created, a special taskforce to deal with this new threat.

You're a highly ranked ghost hunter who joined Phantyx at fourteen, following in your parents' footsteps. With eight years of experience under your belt, you're known for being quick and efficient, but most of all:

Merciless.

Because this fight is personal. After your parents were killed, you made a promise:

To keep fighting.

Until every last ghost is gone.

But what will it take to keep that promise?

Features of Phantyx:

Human–demon coexistence ran hot for generations — border skirmishes, purges, full-blown wars written into every scarred city block and half-collapsed cathedral wall. People learned to sleep with iron under their pillows and wards on every threshold. Then, practically overnight, the demon armies just… withdrew. No treaty. No final stand. They folded back into whatever hell they crawled out of and left the surface quiet for the first time in living memory.

That quiet rotted faster than anyone expected. The demons didn't leave the door closed behind them — something else pushed through the gap. Invisible at first, then glitches in reflection, cold spots that wouldn't fade, shadows that tracked you across rooms with intent. By the time official channels admitted it, the "hauntings" had already bled into infrastructure: transit tunnels, decommissioned warfront bunkers, even the old demon-war memorial sites — places where the veil was already thin and nobody wanted to look too close.

Phantyx was never a proper government agency. It started as a black-budget emergency unit — hunters, ex-militia, widows and orphans of the demon wars who knew the old kill-zones better than any diplomat — and hardened into the only outfit willing to step into a site after the first three response teams didn't walk back out. If regular law enforcement is the uniform you see on street corners, Phantyx is the bootprint you find in dust where something else recently stood.

You didn't choose Phantyx. Not really. Your parents were already in — career hunters who knew the coexistence era was a powder keg and stayed frontline anyway — and when they were killed, the only thing the organization could offer a fourteen-year-old orphan was a badge, a bunk, and the blunt truth that nobody else was coming to clean this up. You took the badge. You've worn it eight years since, and the rank you carry now wasn't handed to you — it was earned mission by mission in places that break people.

Let me introduce you to Yumi!

Yumi is a ghost hunter who was transferred from another district to yours. Often described as stoic, disciplined, and difficult to read, she approaches every hunt with professionalism and absolute focus. She checks every detail and won't stop until the hunt is finished. Her determination is familiar.

It's the same determination you have.

With a natural talent for hunting and an extensive knowledge of ghosts, she climbed to tier 3 in just two years. Her skills are undeniable, and she has her sights set on the highest rank.

But in order to advance, Yumi must work under an experienced hunter.

That hunter is you.

Six months into 2026, and I have finally found a candidate for the best new release using the Honey Select art style.Phantyx is an adult visual novel with a horror and supernatural theme. You play as an expert ghost hunter assigned to an abnormal case involving a spirit that has killed many of your fellow hunters. And that is where the nightmare begins.

Story 4.5/5: The developer clearly wanted to make the world and the story dark, and it shows. The main genres here are horror and the supernatural, and damn, they did it incredibly well. Normally, I just skip through the horror elements because I know everything will eventually be resolved in a harem game. Not in this game, though. Just when you think a situation is resolved, the developer shows you it isn't. Using the love interests as leverage in those situations makes the stakes feel much heavier. The free-roam hunting also helps elevate the dark, heavy atmosphere, where jumpscares, body horror, and gore take turns messing with you.

Characters 5/5: I really like the cast. The main character is mature and experienced, but not overpowered or a Mary Sue. The love interests—there are only two for now—are likable and distinct. Their interactions with the MC feel natural and genuine.The crown for me goes to the ghost/demon girl. Normally, when these entities are bound to you, the cliché is that they turn into a generic horned waifu or a tsundere co-pilot buddy. Here, however, she remains an eldritch, sadistic, and incomprehensible being.

Visuals 4.5/5: The girls are beautiful, and the atmosphere and environment renders are carefully crafted to ensure the player feels a genuine sense of horror.

Audio 4/5: Good enough. Not much to write home about, but it does the job.

Animation 5/5: It’s hot—very hot. The animation is smooth, which, combined with the quality of the renders, makes the H-scenes incredibly enjoyable.

Overall 4.5/5: A very impressive new release. Let’s hope the developer knows exactly what to do next to keep this momentum going. Also, props to them for including a bunch of excellent QoL features, like the option to skip free roam and jump scare warnings.

Summary:

An excellent star, with amazing atmosphere and a very interesting premise. The dev has a great sense of sensual buildup and what sexual content is there is very hot.The horror is so far not too horrible to me, but if you are worried about it there is a helpful jumpscare warning systemWorth trying, keep up the great work dev!
