Course of Temptation is a story-driven life simulation game where players will realistically experience the life of college students. You'll manage your daily attire, schedule, and personal image, using the built-in editor to create your own unique virtual avatar, enhancing the game's immersion. Based on your daily schedule, you'll encounter a variety of characters and trigger various story events. Make choices to shape relationships and gain their trust, continuously improving your skills to have opportunities for deeper interactions with girls and unlock various alluring animated scenes. The game is constantly being updated and optimized, with more new storylines, characters, and animations being released continuously. Stay tuned!

Useful Tips of Course of Temptation:

Pay attention to what your best friend suggests you do. She'll introduce you to the library, pool, River Rat, and a few other things around town and campus.

There's a department store in town which sells some useful stuff. Start with home decor (blanket/pillow/rug) for a small boost to relaxation while sleeping. Later, grab a progressively better set of mattresses (if you buy something that's an upgrade to something you already own, you get half the value of the original thing as a credit).

In the same department store, there are housewares (toaster, hotplate, etc.) and a pantry. Making food in your room is much cheaper than buying it out (you can fill your Food bar for about a dollar that way) to the point that the initial investment gets paid back pretty fast.

Decide how much of a whore you're going to be early on. That will determine a lot about your playthrough. If you're like me and going for Total Whore, then you'll want to start grinding exhibitionism early on. Skirts, no underwear, and later streaking will get that going on for you.

Friday night parties are great. You can max your relaxation bar pretty fast if you go to them, especially if you also slut it up there.

Do extra credit. A few interesting things unlock due to extra credit assignments at various places (especially the clinic and library).

Streaming is a superior job to working for a wage. It starts slow, but you can probably tough it out until you're making enough to get by. Or you tough it out until you're comfortable getting naked on the adult streams, in which case you get way better money.

Play video games with people in the lounge and bet something other than cash (and lose). That'll give you the option to do side-bets at the arcade in town. Once you're game for the weekend bets, you can make a reliable amount of cash that way (around $100 a week), even if you suck at video games. Especially if you suck at video games and also other things.

Hello friends! The public release of the August update is here.

The focus of this update is the beginning of the implementation of a more advanced housing system, adding access to the Date Palm Street apartment building and the Bancroft Suites on campus. The furniture and decor inventory system has been completely refactored and now supports different inventories at different locations — what this means for you is that you can have multiple living spaces and decorate each one according to your needs or liking.

We've also begun to implement NPC houses in this update. Hangouts and booty calls at houses and apartments now let you see and interact with their residence, and if you date an NPC for a while, you may be granted permanent access! In the future, we'll be expanding on all of this by fleshing out the experience of actually living with someone, whether a romantic partner, friend, or just a housemate.

This update also implements a 0.8 mechanic that didn't make it into the 0.8.0 release: the ability for an NPC romantic partner to decide to cheat on the PC, and a chance for the PC to catch them at it and later confront them. This feature relies on the Cheating content option being toggled on, and it defaults to off, so be sure to check that if you want to experience this content!

Finally, we have some quality of life stuff from CGeorge and a bunch of bugs fixed by him and noonycurt. My thanks to them for helping me keep on top of bug reports! Thanks also to HeartsDmise, who continues to find time in a busy schedule to create original art for the game.

If you're not aware, we're maintaining two parallel development cycles:

The monthly update might contain new event sets, new locations, or new mechanics, but usually focuses on extending existing content or polishing existing systems. It comes out once a month with whatever we got done in that time period... hence the name!

The roadmap update checks off one or more items on the roadmap, adding extensive new mechanics and a bunch of related new events in one go, often fundamentally changing how the game can be played. It usually takes multiple months.

You can now rent units at Date Palm Apartments in town, and Bancroft Suites on campus

Both types of units contain multiple rooms that you can decorate individually

You can change some room functions (such as changing a spare bedroom into a home gym) which alters which types of furniture you can place there

Added new beds, desks, televisions, and other stuff to the department store in town (note that most of this stuff isn’t for dorm rooms or Greek rooms, just the larger units — you won’t see it until you’re renting a place where it will fit)

Refactored furniture and decor so that different locations maintain different sets of inventory

Furniture is now “packed” when purchased, and can be unpacked at a housing location through a new “Arrange furniture” action at each location

Furniture items which previously did not allow duplicates can now be purchased multiple times and held in your “packed” inventory, however they cannot be unpacked in the same location more than once — tradein items are an exception, just pack up an item like a bed that you want to trade in before visiting the store

NPCs that you have been dating for a while who have their own place in town may grant you access to their residence if the relationship is going well

Booty calls, “just chill” hangouts and so on that previously abstracted an NPC’s house or apartment will now let you walk around in it if you choose (this feature will be extended to other living spaces in the future)

Gifting furniture and decor items now takes them exclusively from your “packed” inventory and will not let you give away items you’re currently using

Similarly, furniture and decor items gifted to you now go into your “packed” inventory rather than being instantly deployed to your room

Having a room in your Greek house no longer prevents access to your dorm room in Chicory Hall (which was only the case before because they did not maintain separate inventories and seeing your possessions teleport was strange)

For simplicity and quality of life, most collectible decor items are considered “universal” and will show up wherever you decide to stay; most furniture and decor items with mechanical effects, however, are location-based

Items which can be considered portable inventory (like laptops and digital cameras) also join universal inventory and are therefore not unpackable, but will always be accessible

Added NPC moods, which are visible on their profile card and may also be hinted at when you speak to them in person

Added the Neglected special mood, which occurs when you’ve been ignoring a friend or romantic partner and may lead to impactful changes in your relationship

If an NPC is feeling down or upset, you may attempt to cheer them up through in-person dialogue, or cheer them up through giving a gift

Romantic partner NPCs who feel neglected and/or are inclined to cheat may now attempt to secretly cheat on the PC (note that this behavior requires the Cheating content option to be toggled on, which is off by default)

Added some events related to the PC potentially catching a cheating NPC partner in the act and witnessing the encounter

You can confront an NPC partner over their cheating, which may lead to renegotiating the relationship, breaking up, forgiving them, or the NPC partner deciding they’re done with the relationship

Sex between NPCs is now more thoroughly simulated, including virginity loss and the possibility of becoming pregnant

A new badge has been added to indicate when an NPC is visibly pregnant or otherwise known to be pregnant

Save Options now include toggles for whether to import cross-save data attached to saves (currently just self-published books) and whether to attach it to exported saves

Adding an NPC to a people group will now have them considered relevant in the same way that adding them to Favorites does

The Drama slider has been surfaced under Difficulty Options, and affects NPC relationship volatility

An NPC who is busy when you’re trying to schedule a hangout with them will now suggest a different day instead of requiring you to restart the interaction (contributed by CGeorge)

This is probably one of the best life sim games on this site bar none. It has everything you'd want in a life sim to the point that it does get repetetive sometimes as some other reviews have marked against the game. But uh heres a lil secret, life is repetetive dawg. I dont know how ya'll are living but my morning routine is the same everyday pretty much. Some of ya'll dont brush your teeth everyday or something? What I'm trying to get at is some reviews are mad the life sim game has life sim elements in it. Shocking! I can understand that not every game is everyones cup of tea but to actively come back and mark a game down cause it does exactly as it advertises is a special kind of stupid. Rant over.

The actual content in the game is really nice. It is a deep life sim set around an incoming freshman at a university that has a pretty wild reputation as a party school. Go to class, make friends, make enemies, join a sports team, become a serial streaker that terrorizes the campus the choice is yours. The character customization is also pretty deep allowing you to tweak your character into anything you'd like. Wanna play as a goth girl that has a history of sleeping around in high school? You can do that. Wanna play as a sexually repressed religious kid? You can do that too. Wanna play as the most average guy known to man? Guess what brother? You can do that too. Based off how you customize your character your first sexual encounter happens on the guided bus tour of the campus and also depending on how you customized your character they will react a different way. It is all text based so you have to have a pretty active imagination to be able to visualize what the characters look like but thats kinda how all text based games are.

The school portion of the game is kinda the surface level stuff there are a ton of ways to occupy your time and progress your character. Wanna hang out with your characters classmates? Invite them to go to the arcade. Wanna go on a dinner date with that cute girl in your dorm? You can do that. Want to join the universities E-sports team and pwn some noobs? You can do that. Want to become a cam girl/boy and show it all off for some quick cash. You can do that. Want to host a topless protest against your boss at the local burger joint because the wages are shit? Surprisingly you can do that too. Honestly after reading a bunch of these reviews I'm convinced most people didn't play past the first week because this game offers unrivaled depth when it comes to player choice and control. And There is so much out there that I'm not gonna mention here cause half the fun is discovering these things yourself in game.

A lot of these scenarios I've mentioned though require your character to have certain stat levels. Oh I haven't mentioned that yet? Yea there are character stats and as you play the game you make choices to the different situations you've found yourself in that will shape how your character develops. Want to break out of your shell and strip at the weekly quad party? You can do that if you're bold enough. Want to peep on a couple of your dormmates who forgot to lock the door before getting frisky? You can do that. Wanna flirt with and seduce your hot teacher? You better turn up the charm to 11 Romeo cause some of them are rather hard to crack, but once you do you have that forbidden student teacher relationship that is hard to beat imho. Want to steal buncha panties and start a collection? You can do that too.

Also to the reviews saying that there arent varied personalities or NPC behaviors that was just addressed with the lastest update giving them a world of new actions and reactions to the world around them that are constantly happening in the backgrond regardless of player input so the game feels much more 'alive' now. Also there were always different key characters with unique storylines but again I'm not sure most people played long enough to find those.

All in all I know text based HTML games aren't for everyone and this one does take some time to get to the juicy bits but once you get there it's pretty rewarding. The lack of any visuals does hinder it some but honestly I can't hold that againt the game. Not every dev is an artist that makes visual art. Some like this one are great a writing and coming up with the myriad events and situations that make the game so dang good. There is SO much here to discover and explore it's honestly insane. AND the game gets regular massive updates that are constantly expanding what's already here. I can't reccommend the game enough it's become one of my personal favorites and I'm constantly finding myself wanting to play more.
