i'm a photo editor as a little hobby and polarr is great for making fun, colorful edits. themembership is absolutely worth it for me. however, this app crashes... a lot. there aretimes where it'l crash and take me back to the default page within *minutes* of the lastone happening. i have to constantly exit the app, take it out of running in the backgroundand open it again. another unrelated gripe is that i wish that the filters in each categorywould be randomized daily. it's hard finding new filters because they've all been thesame for the last week. other than those two things, polarr is great.

I absolutely love Polarr's design, functionality, and interface. The only real problem withthis app (other than the inability to remove the polar bear photograph when no otherimages are loaded) is that the quality of the source files are reduced significantly byprocessing them with this app. l understand that it would take a lot of time to processchanges made to an image without reducing its resolution, and l think the current low-resolution settings are a good default for most users, but it's almost ridiculous to nothave a high-quality (or original-image quality) option for people who care about theresolution of their photographs. When l first started using this app, l couldn't believe howcompletely and elegantly it satisfied my photo-editing desires, but when l looked closelyat the processed images l couldn't believe how much detail was lost. A lot! This is aproblem that definitely needs to be resolved. lt's especially unforgivable whenconsidering the of section of the in-app mission statement where the developers tell ushow important it to allow artists to express themselves "without losing the fidelity of theircreative desire and inspirations." Using this app to process your images results in anegregious loss of fidelity. l'll wait for a high-quality option (or default) to be implementedbefore using it to edit my photographs.

I had been playing around with so many photo editing apps hoping for something morethan ready made filters and bottom basic crap. After years using photoshop in my schooldays, no app has even came close to satisfying me. Then l stumbled upon Polarr.FINALLY!!!! The first app to go beyond simple and actually gives various options indifferent ways. There's just so many options, l haven't even figured it all out yet. Like,creating your own filter!! l absolutely LOVE this app and can't wait to see more to comefrom Polarr. Why l give 4 stars, there are a few snags here and there, but nothing major.Things like, heavy in to editing a photo and boom all black and the only way to get backis by exiting out of the app. Originally, l hated the window viewer for edges, but thatrecently has changed and is much better. In the beginning, the app was a bit confusingeven with tutorials. Then as l started getting use to everything. Then, suddenly l couldn'tuse any of my paid premium options and was told the app no longer existed. lt was allpretty strange, then 2 weeks later it was back.l was so upset c Anyways, l highlyrecommend Polarr to anyone, it's the best photo editor your going to get, other then thesuper expensive ones.

Fix The Brightness: I usually like to start off my editing process by fixing the brightness. Brightness is the lightness and darkness of the photo and can be changed under the Light section of the app.This photo of pyramids was shot on my DJI Mavic Pro drone early in the morning against the morning sun. Because the drone camera was facing the sun, the photo came out looking very bright and washed out.

Use Free Filters: One of my favorite parts of Polarr is the awesome filters that it comes with. Most of the time during my travels I don’t have the time or my laptop with me to enhance photos with my professional editing software so first I’ll check out Polarr to see if there are any cool filters I like. From all of the phone editing apps I have tried, Polarr filters are by far my favorite. They are subtle, come with amazing color tones and there are lots of choices to choose from.All of the filters are accessible under the Filters tab and are organized in different artistic categories. If you can’t find one that you like, there are more available filters under the Premium section for a monthly subscription fee. But the Polarr app comes with 124 FREE filters so if you can’t find that you like, it’s probably best to move on from filters and edit your photo without one.

Add More Color: Have you ever witnessed the most amazing sunrise or sunset and tried to capture it on your camera to find out that the picture looks nothing like the real deal? Yea, me too.I moved the Tint tool to the right to add more purple. Then I increased Vibrance and Saturation to add more color pop so the other tones stand out more as well. But at that point, the picture was starting to look a bit un-natural so I added orange to warm up the morning glow by moving Temperature to the right. Moving the Temperature tool to the right adds yellow & orange tones into the picture and reduces the cool blue tones. In the end result, we have a photo replicating similar beautiful sunrise tones just like in real life (and better).
