Introduction
Shrift 2 is a hentai dungeon crawler RPG with some unique elements. Shockingly, it’s also a prequel to SHRIFT. Both games are developed by Devil’s Office. It has a lot in common with its predecessor, so I’d recommend checking out the review for the original before going further. Aside from just being a good game with good writing, SHRIFT 2 has a lot of personality. It inherits the unique combat system and style from SHRIFT but adds new features on top to keep things fresh.
About:
There is no "happy ending" in this story.
More than 10 years before the story of "SHRIFT"...
A world where all myths have been recognized as true and false due to the appearance of demons.
In order to put an end to the chaotic situation,
all the religious sects of the world are integrated into an organization called the "Church"...
the young man who belongs to it is the main character of this time.
You have to search for the "end" that he thinks is really happy
from the many "rescue" that awaits him or is presented by someone .
In this story, no matter how much he struggles, there's no way he can have a "happy ending",
so please find his "rescue ending".
Gameplay:
Combatting demons in SHRIFT II is very similar to SHRIFT, but there are some differences. The main resources are now Faith, Will, and Lust. Faith is hp, Will is stamina and Lust is… Lust. Combat revolves around managing these three, and failing in any spells trouble in different forms.
Being a priest, Richard’s main weapon is prayer. Demons are driven back by faith, so unlike in the first game, weapons are not that important, nor is running out of ammo an issue. Weapons can still be used, but the main thing they provide is special attacks and stats provided by the items attached to them.
The two biggest differences to SHRIFT are dungeon crawling and partnering up with demons. Each demon Richard beats is bound to him. Richard can call upon one of his bound demons to partner up with him, gaining access to some of their abilities.
While SHRIFT only had a handful of different fights, all being against the demons, SHRIFT II introduces dungeons that are filled with wandering spirits. These are lesser enemies that can be grinded for exp in traditional RPG fights.
The levels gained make Richard stronger, but their main function is being fuel for the demons. Richard can feed his levels to demons to gain Soul Points, which can be used to enforce him, or his allies. The level gains slow significantly after 30, as does the stat gain.

Developer Notes:
Patching Instructions:
Download and extract the game (Shrift 2) to a folder. The demo is downloadable for free at Shrift 2’s store page ( https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/announce/=/product_id/RJ318368.html/?locale=en_US )
Download the patcher file. You will likely get a Windows Defender warning on it: it is a false positive and can be safely ignored.
Extract the patcher file, and copy+paste it in the same directory as Shrift 2 (where the file you open to start the game is).
Run the Installer, click Install. Let it finish.
You should be able to run the game now, enjoy!
Minor Notes:
Some information is directly saved as Japanese to your save file. It’s okay to use Japanese saves with the patched version, but some stats like current story objective and save location will stay in Japanese till they get updated naturally as you move through the game. You may also need to move into a new world area to load in the translated data.
