If you want a genuine review of the game: ignore the fact people are downvoting this game all because they are forgetting that you can enjoy something up and weird and or disturbing without it being a direct reflection of your moral character when being the villain's special little exception to all their horrifying deeds has been a cliche as old as time. Literally no one knows what the word romanticization and fetishization even means anymore and just waters it down to 'they enjoy content of this thing that would be awful in real life'. Like yea man that's why it's not irl. Anyway.In terms of the game itself, it was surprisingly fun! I downloaded this because I search for the most niche games possible, as well as games in Japanese, and this was suggested underneath another horror game. It was sort of a blast from the past to be reminded about creepypasta because I didn't know who the heck the guy was and had to go on a deep dive. It's a reminder that even the most so called 'cringe' of communities will always have fans and thrive forever.The artwork is very impressive, and the voice acting suited BP pretty well. The good endings were quite fun and interesting, and I'm always weak to 'evil couple who have a toxic codependency and they are going to live together AND die together. there is no other choice.'The credits option on the game doesn't seem to work at the time of me leaving this comment, and I'd love to know who the voice actor for BP was.Thank you for the surprisingly good time! This is such a good game. Honestly, the developers have been amazing with it! I just wish there were more CGs and scenes, with the game being longer. I also wish there was a more romantic ending considering it is a dating sim. Perhaps, something like BP and MC running away from the police, getting married and having to hide their hobbies, travelling the world. Or even starting a family and raising them. It would be interesting to see. This game has potential, I really do hope more free content is added or routes and it is developed further. 100 percent recommend playing this!

It wouldn’t have been a great game if I hadn’t goofed around with my friend, using our own voices instead of prince charming BP’s voice when reading the lines. That said, I must admit I cringed so hard while going through every route. Even the "not-so-happy" endings felt forced. But was it fun to play? Definitely! “Romanticizing the character Bloody Painter has been quite a challenge for me because BP is extremely egocentric, selfish, and lacking in both emotions and empathy. He is constantly calculating and scheming ways to use those around him and remains highly distrustful of others. Developing a romantic relationship for such a character is difficult; to put it bluntly, the only person he truly loves is himself. I believe he would only be interested in someone who is similar to him—his “own kind.” Beyond that, it is hard for him to develop romantic feelings for others.”“This made writing the script for this dating sim quite challenging, as I had to carefully balance the amount of romance to include. In light of these two groups, I admit it’s challenging to please everyone.”“That said, I believe that rather than focusing on the dissatisfaction of new players regarding the romance elements, it’s more encouraging that many people are developing an interest in the character because of this game. I see it as a positive outcome as long as more people get to know and become interested in BP.”
