One of the few FVNs that I truly would call a nearly flawless reading. I actually picked it up and put it down because the art style to me was honestly just a little weird?? (I don't know what I was thinking) I am SO GLAD I decided to come back, because I warmed up to the art more than I can really explain here. The writing is what I really look for in FVNs, and EFV really REALLY makes my blood boil sometimes, and at the same time, made me bawl my eyes out. EFV has by far some of the most emotional moments in any FVN, even rivaling that of Dawn Chorus personally. And AGAIN, the art is beautiful, some of the CGs are super calming and beautiful, while some are super dark. I really couldn't recommend this FVN more, and it's definitely in my top 3. Cannot WAIT to start Silver Heaven, and I KNOW it's going to be just as good. Thank you to everyone on the Aucyon Project for creating a truly special piece of literature and art. This is truly an astonishing work. It made me realize that not all stories can be fairy tales. This work is presented in a way that feels so real, so real that it frightened me. I could not imagine that these abusers could make bullying into something so terrifying. At certain moments, I felt overwhelming anger, and I couldn’t help but put myself in the protagonist’s perspective. When that group of “demons” used intimidation and the destruction of the orphanage, and adoption as a method to endlessly torment children, using them as a bargaining chip to threaten the protagonist, that was the moment I realized I was wrong. I was actually sympathizing with a group of true demons. Their methods went beyond my understanding; they could even use a group of innocent children as leverage. It was unimaginable…
